I've been using the original z ultra since january 2014 and have been dying for them to make a successor. I've just about given up and started looking at other phones but I've grown too accustomed to this phone and won't go sub 6inch screen ever again.

in my experience with sony since it was still called sony ericsson xperia, the perfect sony xperia product that is very balanced in every aspect...its always the "ultra series"... z ultra, t2 ultra dual, and c5 ultra dual... the only problem i get is they havent upgrade their camera resulution (13mp in t2&c5 even through c5 quality is better) and the speaker is not very great... but what i really like is the screen size, battery, and speed and its upgrade support is very good

skiptapp, 08 Sep 2015 The entire Z5 series needs SD-820 processor, OIS, and a 3900 battery. Drop the Playstatio... moreThat's what others said about HD over a decade ago. But 4K and 8K UHD is already here and is already a format standard, just not 8K on phones while 4K is about to be. Wait a few more months and your view or opinion might change. Because in a few months time, which we are obviously headed, we'd see other phone makers, of which some are undoubtedly also TV manufacturers, bring the 4K UHD format to their phones, too. It should count less of a surprise since some makers have either already officially announced or have already leaked their projected or prospected date in starting to produce them. Where technology is inevitably headed, so are developers/producers and consumers alike. Even Apple wouldn't want to get left behind with the tech and times unless they're purposely going for broke, though they are usually late to the new-format/standard party. I won't doubt that in the inevitable future you might just be the same person who would say we're not ready for 8K when 4K becomes mainstream or for 16K (which is currently considered as a future standard) when 8K becomes mainstream

pretty soon sony will just ad a sim card slot to their tvs and you can just walk around with a tv up to your ear cause that wont be much different to holding the ultra up to your ear. you'll look like an idiot using that thing.

Some users want a compact phone, others want an average 5.2" device, others want a compact phablet, around the 5.5-5.8" size, whereas others like myself want a much bigger phablet around 6"+. It's the only way a manufacturer will be successful, you can't just sell kiddy size phones ie. 4.6 to 5" it's just too small for some people. I have small hands but I love the 6.4" Z Ultra, it's a fantastic experience and the 4k display with the 820 is going to be unbelievable.
