I hope this is true, been waiting for the Z4 Ultra which never appeared, so now waiting for the Z5 Ultra. I have the Z Ultra but its permanently damaged by water somehow seeping through even though it's supposed to be waterproof. Come on Sony please release this early next year and I will pay anything for it.

It should be noted that the Z5 Compact Premium rumor has been debunked. The information comes from the Crypton Future Media staff (creators of Hatsune Miku, the character seen on the rumored phone) at Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2015 in Tokyo on September 6th. The CEO himself (Hiroyuki Itoh) commented that it was false when Hatsune Miku fans inquired about it at the information panel that evening.

I would love > 6.2" 1080p display, ip68, USB C flapless open port located at Top or Bottom, 32gb expandable, 3gb ram, flash light, front stereo speakers, min 4000mah battery and I will consider it a worthy successor to my Z Ultra!!
*Dual sim -if included would make it irresistible!

These kids are hilarious. "It's too big!" Then get something smaller. "Sony releases phones too frequently!" Um, Sony hasn't released a new Ultra since the original over two years ago. How is that too frequent? "Sony should have Snapdragon 820 in all their Z5 phones!" And how would they do that? Skip to the future and buy some?
I'll be waiting eagerly to see how this phone shapes up. I love my Z Ultra.

Some people here want SONY to do as they want,6 gigabyte ram 256 or 512 gigabyte internal storage, sd card slot with two thousand gigabyte expandable storage,1200,000 mhz battery over ten days of permanent usage,octa core CPU over 5000 mhz at least for each core,and the cost not more than one hundred dollars, What else do you want guys?

The entire Z5 series needs SD-820 processor, OIS, and a 3900 battery. Drop the Playstation controller feature (it's a worthless feature) and give us 4 gb of RAM and full 1080p HD screen.
Then wait one year to bring out the really-all-new Z6, which would jump up to 6gb of RAM, 4200 battery, a newer cool-running SD processor, and 64gb of native storage. Actually the world is not quite ready for 4K resolution yet, so 1080p across the entire line-up is plenty good.

As usual, SONY is all over the place. They don't seem to have any clear-cut direction to follow their customers wishes. Too many different sizes and models with different specs and prices, and introduced too frequently. If SONY would spend more time on the quality most-wanted features and less time trying to bring out a new phone every 3 or 4 months, they could really put together something great. As it is, every so-called "new" phone is just a warmed-over model of the previous design. SONY, like other mfgr's, should only do one introduction per year, like Apple. Yes, they could bring out multiple products, but only once a year. This would create pent-up demand, and people would not be disappointed because SONY spent a year getting it right.
The Z5 trio sizing is probably right, but the specs are still a little short, especially on the Compact. All Z5's should have come out with the SD-820 processor, 4 gB of memory at minimum, and a 3500 battery with full HD screen to be really better and different from the competitors. SONY, you can drop the PlayStation controller feature...it's superfluous and worthless. There is very little value added by the this feature. Spend the money improving other features that are more worthy of your attention.
If the Z6 does not bring all the very best and latest features to market, I will probably get something else. I have waited 3 years for SONY to get it together, but they just refuse to give us the phone we really really want....the phone that will blow away the iPhone.

Please Sony screen should not be more than 6" we can't use your ultra phones effectively due to your bad designs and large bezels up and down. You can copy Huawei mate 7 if you can't create any new design.

If it was bezelless phone with such screen, I would take it for sure, but z5premium with 5.5" being same(or bigger) size like note345 series with 5.7", its bigger than my pocket. Well after samsung hi-ends experimentation, I expect big flagship in pocketable foldable/.. style, because bigger display is always better for me.
