They are the best marketing machine in the world, you have to give them credit for that.
At the end of the day the most important thing is that this phone gives the users satisfaction and it does it in every single way. It really doesnt matter what others have or do, it is a good phone and satisfies all the users needs, and thats what the people are paying for.
And there is one thing you have to understand about the pricetag. The iphone customers are even more bounded to theire product because of the high price. Actually everyone is, doesnt matter if it is a phone, a car, or something else. We all respect something more expensive more than cheap stuff and that is one of apples strategies. They give their products more value in the eyes of the consumer by increasing the pricetag.
This is something which is going to work always. It simple philosophy, get used to it.
