mir, 12 Sep 2015Never settle. Go for a proper phone maker who can actually "deliver."I'd have to agree with that. It's not like OnePlus enjoys the same status as iPhone, where people MAY be willing to go through such a process.

Why wait when you can get an Oppo - which is pretty much the same handset - or Xiaomi straight away.

Keep in mind that Oneplus is a tiny tiny company that's trying to compete with other tech giants. The quality of their customer service is incredible considering the few employees they have. Also keep in mind the price you're paying, it's not the cheapest, but it is impressive for a company that relies heavily on two "budget" products to survive

No problem Carl. I already buy HTC One ME. With no delay or invitation. Who needs invitation to spends a lot of money?

Here is a theory....TIN FOIL HAT TIME.
With their rabid fanboys, that are at times WORSE than apple/samsung/ios/android fanboys, I posted this one to stir them up.

Say that Oppo, (who owns them anyway, and makes the phones), was ready to really release a flagship, but had some issues. Release a cheaper phone, stuff a chip in it that no one likes (810), call it a version 2.1, you know qualcomm would love to see this chip disappear, makes a deal with oneplus to get the chip at a rock bottom price. Stick the chip on it, using a metal frame to dissipate the heat. Leave out wireless charging, NFC saying users don't want it. Throw it out there and let the rabid fans have it, while all the while, continue to work on the bugs that stopped the REAL OnePlus 2. Carl as much said so during the launch, when asked by a reporter if they had anything else coming by the end of the year, he whips out a phone which said he said was "wow"...but then realizes he opened his mouth a bit too soon, then, says the oneplus2 is really a good phone too.
So, the rabid idiots throw themselves on glass to get the 2, and then all of a sudden there are a bunch of delays, missed this, problems etc, and now a few more will be issued, and on and on. Then, come December, they announce a 2.5 or 3 device with "wow" specs.
Of course, as with apple, samsung etc...the fanboys will jump up and down, but, anyone with a lick of common sense, knows that this TINY company, doesn't know what they are doing.

Well, you can buy it right now from Oppomart, and that's what a lot of Reddit users have done.

For the price, there isn't anything comparable. Want Dual SIM? Want to know it will still be receiving Android updates two years out? There isn't really much choice out there.

I think reviewers should keep in mind all of these delays before they rhapsodize about the low prices from OnePlus. By the time the original OPO was freely available for purchase it was sporting roughly year-old specs. This meant that the true price comparison for regular costumers was discounted previous generation phones (Htc One M8 and its siblings, Galaxy S5, Sony Z2 etc), not the latest flagships. The same thing seems to be happening with the OP2.

OnePlus' new ideology- never stop apologising. Man, do they ever really stop getting things wrong and then apologising?

                                  take your time carlos.

I was on the invite waiting list. I think id rather wait a bit more and just go with the moto x style. sd slot, fast charging, NFC, water resistance, dual front facing speakers. quick charging (supposedly the fastest in the biz) QHD screen, front facing led flash, 21 mp (supposedly will be stellar) $10 more. so there really isnt a need to wait for the 1+2.

2106 flagship killer? it isnt even a 2015 flagship killer. the 1+2 is underwhelming. I cant help but feel youre getting less and paying more this time around. no CM, same 1080p screen. same 13mp camera. better honed specs all around but no nfc and no quick charging. just seems like they tried to cut corners.
