Hey, all, does someone had the problem... when you navigate to somewhere and you use 3D view the pinter that represents you turns sideways to the wall of the road and the map turns the other way so that the pointer can point forward again, but in that moment you see only a peace of the road and your pointer moving sideways, not forward... it's like i expects a digital compass, but 5800XM doesn't have one, and the software is confused about the direction you are going... I have perfect GPS signal, online mode, A-GPS is enabled .. Any ideas ? (5800XM RM-356 40.0.005 ovi maps 3.03 10wk01)
Let me remind you persons having nokia smartphones that Nokia is still currently working on compatibilities with their other smartphones. It will support the new and older smartphones of nokia.
and For those people asking why their omnia hd is not compatible....duh? is it a nokia?
For those people with n97 who is really mad right now. Pls. read the info above. ty
tried it on my N78 since i already have version 3.01 of ovi maps and south africa map installed with 2 months drive navigation left, i doubt it will be available for my phone cause there are no updates for it, this sucks, i cant understand why only those phones were selected and if 3.01 works fine then 3.03 should have no problem, and why is it available for the 5800 music express and not the N97 when thats a much better phone and came out later? makes no sense, i really want this free navigation tho, come on nokia dont force us to buy new handsets.
My experience with this new update is complicated. It worked for a while by deleting the old Nokia Map app on my 5800 only to come back again inadvertently and has defaulted back to the pay navigation.
Shall I delete my Ovi Map app too and just go to Ovi Store and download the update? Anybody knows? Please respond if you know the solution.
only for N 97 and E55,E 52 etc.for my N 86??????????
for nokia N 86 only maps
There is a nice video in mynokiablog.com about Hitler and this ovi maps

Try one of this. (depends on your phone)
N95-8GB >>> http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-n95-8gb/
N95 >>> http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-n95/
Tried it on my N95, and no luck. Only works on S60 5th. Too bad they called it "blessing for all smartphones". Now I feel like I'm no longer a smartphone user.
Does anyone know if they plan to include 6220c in this great offer
Anonymous, 23 Jan 2010Remove your Old Nokia MAPs first and then install the new one.It removed everything when I installed and then when i started the program it said checking license>>>> 90-days license activated.
Because of this free navigation, my plan for buying the next phone will be the 5800 XpressMusic (GPS-capable) instead of 5530.
Donnie, 23 Jan 2010It does have a free but just only 90-days which I cannot understand why why not for life.Remove your Old Nokia MAPs first and then install the new one.
