Anonymous, 16 Sep 2015The stock Android found on Nexus devices allows you to disable nearly everything to the point ... morei didnt say you cant "disable" apps on android. disabling the apps still leaves a considerable amount of memory being occupied by the apps.
all android (to my knowledge) let you disable apps. the thing is android doesn't let you uninstall "core" or pre-installed apps.
i have the z3 compact and i flashed the hk version of the firmware because it had least number of pre-installed bloatware on it. indonesian, indian and brazilian consumed on an average 1gb more due to bloat and that's just overkill.
and more than space consumption, it drains more battery even on a clean restore when there are more apps on android.

Actually the stock market can be used as a in built, real time currency converter. This can also be used in the notification center as a widget, giving all details of your favorite currency exchange rates....this also has an inbuilt trend showing backlogged data's up-til 10 years. Try for yourself, bro, u may find it useful :-)

AnonD-276125, 16 Sep 2015Both android and ios are as plastered. The stock Android found on Nexus devices allows you to disable nearly everything to the point where you'll have 2-3 apps left that cant be disabled.

I don't give 2 -censored- about Apple, but if they do this, I'll give them credit for it. No one should be forced to have an app that he/she has 0 use for, regardless if it's a phone, tablet or a PC.

This should have always been a native feature for both android and ios. Not everybody wants to root or jailbreak their devices.

The forced plastering of so many apps on the home screen is one reason I have never bought an apple. Just way to busy plus you cant get an alpha numeric keypad choice for messaging. Hope this changes in the future.
