LG always charge exorbitant prices, and I hate the camera quality and at certain times cheap spec's that reflects their opinion in class-ism towards certain societies.

Anh92_, 19 Sep 2015Seriously? "Take $450usd and save it for retirement??!!!!" Lmao, what do you do for ... moreWell, $450.00 invested at age 30, with a 7.5% annual return, comes to over $5,600.00 at age 65. Not bad, for just a little sacrifice. Of course, that should be an add-on to other retirement funding that you'll have if you don't over-spend on other slick dude play toys.

For $200.00 USD or less, you can get a perfectly fine phone with a decent camera. This $650.00 stuff is a bunch of horse manure. Take the remining $450.00 and save for retirement, or buy something much more lasting.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2015not everybody likes to be like the APPLE sheep. Sit apple, eat apple, believe apple come on it... moreI don't envy Apple, I just can't under it.
It could be that the rest of the smartphone market is made up of those people who cannot or will not pay to buy an iPhone so by default Apple is dragging firms like LG, Samsung HTC behind them
There must be something appealing but I am glad that Apple is what Apple is

              In 2011 I bought the 8Mp SGS 2, Apple had the 512 Mb Ram IPhone4S also 8Mp
Come 2013 although LTE the iPhone5S still 8Mp
A year later the iPhone6 just larger iPhone6 which was just a larger display iPhone5

Still had my SGS 2 and did not need to update as all I would get is more RAM and a bigger camera. .....but the spectacular Z10 failed to make an impression and Blackberry sold them off so bought one
Only in 2015 after 4 years did Apple increase the iPhone to 12Mp

There simply isn't fir me the need to upgrade year in years out, as I have a similar specs phone now two phoned that talk to each other

I am not going out burying the same phone for 3 times the actual cost
Now I have an LTE phone
It's knowing what they cost and that they are the must have phone

Yes I do like the LG G3 similar to the S5, the S6 Edge is sublime in shape and feel let down as I have nowhere to put my microSD or buy a spare battery

Apple announce it's gonna be a record selling year each year BEFORE the launch and people oblige
In 2016 the iPhone7 will still be a 12Mp phone but the thing is Google, I can check out the latest apps incorporated in the iPhone6S say and add it my phone

Say two years from now just before the LG G3 or S5 is just about to be discontinued, I will get it

I think the reason why people avoid LG mobile phones is their ugly unattractive designs. I never went for any LG phone because no phone ever looked appealing. Overpricing too is an issue for some people

Never had an LG, but the devices they've made over the past few years aren't bad at all, great camera from the LG3 onwards, the flex in terms of the usability, especially navigating and watching movies is 1 of a kind.

I think it's literally down to branding and people thinking they'll be looking over the fence at it's competitors, something i generally found myself doing whilst i had an iPhone 6 for a while, currently with an HTC m9 having gotten rid of a note 4 and the iphone, i've found i've stopped looking.

LG need to make a nexus device, that will massively boost sales and put them right amongst the most popular devices.

Problem is brand, HTC and Sony are the only two Android makers with a premium touch to them. Rest try to appeal to the entire world especially Samsung, so people consider Samsung as a cheap brand.

Apple and Samsung are already killing Lg, and with cheap chinese phones here and there people will either get a cheap copycat brand or get a premium brand such as a Samsung or an Apple .. Lg and Sony are stuck in the middle and there's no way to go.

G4 priced at USD 470 for leather and 450 for ceramic variant.
                          S6 priced at USD 525
                          iPhone 6, 16gb, priced at USD 660.

And they say that LG is overpricing its phone. it's quite saddening already for a flagship phone to be priced at nearly another brand's mid range.

Personally, I think the reason why LG sales have been rather flat is due to the Android flagship price revolution.

The current price of flagships are falling. You can get the Moto X Pure with identical specs from $399. The Zenfone 2 64GB has similar performance numbers to the G4 but is $299.

Reducing prices will impact their profits, but I'm pretty sure it will make them more competitive and maybe even appeal to more consumers.

The G4 is my daily driver. So far, it's the best phone I have used.

They went with the 808 due to the 810's thermal flaws.

If the 810 did not overheat, then the G4 would have it.

It seems to be a smart decision as any complaints about the G4 overheating doesn't seem to be as widespread as devices powered by the 810. Not to mention it never suffered from the negative rep of the 810.

Almost everyone put all their bets on it and now they just eat dirt (overheating or downclocked to perform near 808 levels, being nowhere close to an exynos).
