HTC is totally lost. If they are delivering a phone with just 16GB of storage it will be a failure even if it has a SDCard slot with all "Move to SD" nightmare. They started good with the HTC One M7 and they lost track trying to copy Apple. Apple offers at least three years of support and offers more than one option for storage. I left HTC after 5 years for Apple because I do not want to expend €700 every time HTC wants me to buy a new phone because they stopped upgrading Android in a perfectly capable phone. Sorry HTC. in business a company have to be smart. Copying others without intelligence or even thinking what you're doing puts you in the situation you are now. Bye bye. My next Android phone for development only will be a Nexus 6P.

16GB only ?? What a good joke ! The price for this is more than stupid , maybe HTC should go out of business because their phone are only a expensive joke ! Learn from Motorola ! 399$ and you get a lot more than this 700 euro joke !

Something is wrong here. They can not sell a mid-range device at a high price, because that is going to kill them soon.

Wow, this is just gossip from someone who doesn't know what i's gonna cost. Maybe it's a hero device because of "bang for the buck" ratio, a new Nexus 7 of smartphones made by HTC? That would save it. For 199$, or even 249$ it'd be a thing, for 299$ it's too close to similarly specced phones of other Chinese big-name companies.

HTC became really crazy, look their prices...
M9 is about 700 euro, S6 faster, thinner and cooler but 550 euro.
So they ask why we loosing market share...

May be it is your pricing policy...
And who wants to pay 700 euro for a mid range phone, there is nothing new with SD 617.
Only a few mbits faster than its predecessor...

All companies should stay away from qualcomm, their era has been done.
They just trying to sell worthless SoC's to keep prices high for High class models, that is why shamesung chosed to produce its own soc.
SD615 nothing better than any mid-range MT chipset but price is quad of its.

i have owned the m7 and loved it so i got the m8 loved it even more. looked at the m9 but no innovation there so no way am i give up a good phone to replace it with worse version. and if this is what the a9 is going to be HTC you have lost a customer. will end up going back to Samsung

robustboy, 18 Sep 2015i still love my previous htc one m7, its just i hate the purple tint on it.I was on the M7, got the purple tint removed when HTC offered a camera repair in Malaysia. Loved the phone. Size was just right. Now on M8, loved the phone especially with the Dot View casing.

Didn't buy the disappointing M9 or the M9+. Reluctant to get a Samsung. Will probably switch to Iphone 6S+.. Rose Gold.
