Apple needs to wait for the product to mature for maturing unlike samsung who can bring a new product like gearvwatch
Samsung cant even name its products without copying
Gorilla glass is hardly on "most" devices these days, the list isn't that big and almost all low-mid range devices don't have it.
AnonD-292154, 18 Sep 2015It's always the other way around.apple didn't invented anything of its own... started copying very first from xerox and the history continued from time to time... n to eclipse all their dirty business, they themselves sued every other company even for a silly rounded corner thing... such a stupid and biggest S company... ofcourse S is steve... a company with such an S attitude will alwaz remain S....

AnonD-276592, 18 Sep 2015Apple will follow Samsung soon. They already fail without even starting. Remember Apple Sapphire glass. They stop the project. This Samsung Turtle Glass only prove that it future flagship will definitely be glass and metal again. Though, it in contradictary to their foldable smartphone patent. Flexi-glass?
AnonD-292154, 18 Sep 2015It's always the other way around.like bigger screens and s-pen inspired "apple pencil"

Lol. No but seriously samsung please email the very tuff. I don't want to worry about the note 6 when it comes out because of some fragile glass. My note 5 already has a tech 21 case. The glass maybe said to be strong. But I'm still scared as hell of it breaking.

I don't care what you name it Samsung, just make it stronger for God's sake! Gorilla glass is nothing but a selling point, utter fragile thing.
The front glass should survive at least one or two normal distanced drops, that's how a true flagship mobile should be made. However there are some 'poor' people who use mobile phones like ceramic tea pot set, and they will disagree to what I am saying, but then again no one did care about dumb people.

Apple will follow Samsung soon.
I'm happy to see Samsung becoming more independent. First ditch android with Tizen, ditch Snapdragon with Exynos and now ditch Gorilla glass with Turtle glass. I wonder what they do next.

What the heck!!? Why these companies use animal name for their product??
Gorilla vs dragon vs turtle
I'll make my own company for glass protection named platypus
Samesung meeting, September 2015:
Exec. 1: Hey, we've just developed this amazing, highly durable glass that's uncannily similar to our competitor's product.
Exec. 2: I know, let's call it Monkey Glass!
Exec. 1: Hmm, sounds too similar to Gorilla Glass. It will be obvious to all that we have shamelessly copied our competitors' designs.
Exec. 3: How about "Turtle Glass"?
Execs. 1 & 2: Great idea! They'll never know!!1
