When you compare this device with all the media hype: It's ridiculously stupid. Even w/out the hype it still would be.
But I think it's more of a apple's pathway into the ebook/magazine market.
I think Steve heard the call of "Print is dead" just like he heard the call of "Music retail is dead" in 2000 and created the itunes store. Then, of course, he gave us the waaaayyy overpriced but awesome ipod. But this isn't the same thing. You rushed it Steve. Outta greed no less.

If you know your Apple history then you'll remember that Steve Jobs said that they won't do ANYTHING that won't make them money. That's what they do.
It's made them one of the most successful company's in the world and the ENVY OF THE ENTIRE PHONE AND ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY. And some publishing industry's with their mighty iTunes Store.
They design the hardware and the software. And you can't deny, they desing some BEAUTIFUL products.

excellent netbook. some people will use this with a headset. there is a possibility they have a mic on this so some people can use it as a regular phone lololol

c) You haven't had the opportunity to use, or own, the beauty that is Mac OSX on an Apple MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac or Mac Mini?
d) Your old iPod doesn't work anymore?

As a owner and everyday user of a Ipod Touch, I think i am free to say that this thing is great! It offers almost everything iPod Touch can offer plus some stuff from MAC´s. Still being very light, and small enough to fit into any hand baggage.
I don´t actually need sth like this. But If I comeback to travel like I did years past. I will be very likely to get one.
But I still don´t like Apple charging €999 for a underfeatured device that it´s needless to mention....

No front facing camera. No back facing camera. No adobe flash. No multi-tasking. Maximum 64ssd only 1ghz processor. Starts at 499? Big let down. I like apple products and thought why would bring more to the table. They brought a paper weight. An expensive one at that.

People are so ignorant. "I'm not going to like it because everyone else does, so I'm not conforming." Try using the products before you slag it. The iPhone is an excellent device... FACT. It may not be suited to everyone's needs, but it is to most peoples and exceeds them. Now as for this device, it is clearly intended for non-commercial implementation, with some tweaks to make sure it's still suited to the public. The pricing makes it a better option to the kindle as an e-book reader as it can do so much more. Biggest downfall is the lack of an iWeb camera, which I think will come out with the next iPhone. Don't think Apple wanted to give away their plans for the iWeb app just yet.
