i was not astonished at all......my prediction..it will be a huge flop. but it will again start a new standard. I dont know reli whats with apple that they know how to rewind history.

too little.. too late! low functionality - we expected a computer, not a mutated photoframe. the only good thing is the battery life, but what is it good for? browsing and films? a bloody lot of devices can do it. and yes, it looks ugly. what happenned to the world's leading apple designer bunch??

[deleted post]vacations? cmon...how many VACATIONS do you have in a year! and besides would you rather engage yourself totally on your iPad than appreciate the view or the stillness of your surroundings? how about having a chat with your mates...isn't vacations about catching up on lost times rather than loosing more time on a bloddy useless iPad? the point is apple got too greedy and witheld a lot of technology it could easily have thrown into the 3G picture frame and allianated a lot of costumers in the end! costly mistake! but we'll see how this iPad phenomenon will pan out.

I believe Steve Jobs has lost the plot with this piece 'tech'. It's bigger than a netbook, more expensive than a netbook, does a lot less than a netbook, no keyboard. To me this seems totally pointless!
Stick the Iphone Steve, just make it better please, the hardware is way behind other phone hardware.

Yes, this product is a joke. Nevertheless, there will be people with 'great' intellect that gonna buy it anyway or anyhow.
Like one person mentioned, I could also see myself in the bathroom with it. Now who is going to sanitize that!
Fujitsu has multi-touch screen, and comes with a full OS (see Windows 7). You select your size, weight, and etc...
