yeah,i recorn so,even here in Kenya we are now using the 3G network, cant wait 4 the 4G network
I wonder how many of those 500 million customers around the world actually DO use 3G, and are not people that have a phone that happens to have 3G technology.
:-)
Noticing from GSM Arena's blog that some of editors there with their names such like Kyle, Peter, Chip, Chivas or Nick, there is no doubt GSM Arena's head office is in Bangladesh!! Yep, you too slow, Sherlock!
4G network in the Philippines was officialy launched last year but is primarily used for WiMax connectivity. Majority of the mobile phones here run on 3G and a few run on GPRS. There are still users running on Analog.
With the new wave of mobile phones being used for net connectivity this coming 2010, the demand for a more stable coverage in 4G will increase for all 4 Mobile Network Providers in the Philippines:
Smart Communications, Globe Telecom, Digitel Mobile Phils. Inc - Sun Cellular and BellTel (Liberty Telecom-Qatar Telecom-San Miguel Corp Merger)
the grape vines have it that a certain network in South Africa will bless the continent with 4G...confirmed by the C.E.O
fat cats be on the look out, the little cat is coming up to compete on your level.
as a matter of fact, the network is already being put to the test in Cape Town...its only a matter of time until it is rolled out to the rest of the country
Why do people care where GSM Arena locating? Are you going give them a visit or something? I know where GSM Arena Locating...on my PC screen :)

The gsmarena domain is registered in Sofia (Bulgaria) so i can only assume that the site is based there ;)
2g isnt offered in Japan.for those people saying that 3g isnt important should shut up and videocalling is nt im4tant.mybe in north america that thng is nt.for the rest world esp for Asian vidcol is im4tant.dnt u know that videocalling is im4tant for frequent travellers abroad.not every1 can take advantage of wifi hotspot coz wifi is nt available in all places but 3g does.do i have to say videochatting from fon to pc?
Yeah? How many customers are actually using video call with that 3G? I think those customer subscribing to 3G purely because of the 3G mobile phones are better than 2G mobile phones. Most of them don't even know what is 3G and don't even aware of the service. Ask around and see how many people know what is 3G? And now 4G?
