i moved from s3 mini to s5 mini and it was shocked, that this NEW device is running the same os then the OLD one :( ... i think it was my last samsung device ...

S5 mini usually referred as it were a single device. In real it has at least 8 different variants, and the update is started only for 2 of them. The others (G800F, G800M, G800Y, G800HQ, G800DS, and so on) still must wait and wait, despite experts say the 5.1.1 rom is ready and should be published.

They won't because s5 is still a great fone with a removable battery an a SD card slot so an proper update then who the hell would go for an s6 or s7 when it's out so they're holding out as long as they can...bastards

Sammy should pull up its socks together! The regular full fledged s5(exynos and snapdragon) is still running 5.0 and they release 5.1.1 for a mini!
