Mr. P, 24 Sep 2015After updating to IOS 9, battery getting discharged fastly, not even giving 8 hours of backupThis is not an Ios 9 issue, must be some apps. (Bloat app or some you have installed?).
When my Iphone 6- is rather idle, it is still at 90% after 48 hours of stand by and one hour of activity...

Try to use the moved "Battery" under "Settings" to find the culprit.

As an example I have a Danish national broadcasting TV app, that can kill the battery pretty fast when it is supposed to do nothing, unless I explicitly kill it after usage.

Another culprit can be very poor signal. One reason can be of the closest masts of your carrier are overloaded, so you are pushed to a mast long away giving a weak signal.

i could have fun with this, first off why wouldnt the beta test be able to find all these bugs , if it was actually a good beta test. which speaks volumes in the opposite direction that they had to release a fix this soon after release. After all unlike android with tons of different manufacturers and tons of different hardware specs. so it is left to the phone producer to customize an update towards there specific phone. iphone has the exact same hardware exact same os, exact same pretty much everything across the board. so there really is no excuse for releasing a finalized os with bugs needing fixed this fast.

also how does this help the large amount of people who got swipe stuck? they cant download the update if the fix which even apple itself admitted wont fix everyones problem on the swipe update lock. what about them . there still waiting to even be able to use there phone.

To all the comments of the roll out speed of updates for Ios versus others.

Several years ago (late 2012 if I remember right), Sony published an explanation on why the update route is so long. It is NOT (as most people think) the development phase that delays things.
The major problem is that they are bound to get all their updates approved by local broadcasting authorities as well as each and every network provider where it will operate. And this can take months and months.

How aPple have been able to make arrangements so they can just push out their software I do not know, but that makes ALL the difference in the timing.

That other software for some network providers have to be infected with their proprietary bloatware further delays the process even more, as they might be unwilling to approve both the plain vanilla version and other proprietary bloated versions other vendors might use, before their own bloated version is ready, as they -naturally- prefer that they can offer 'their' customers the new version no later than the competitors. (catch 22...)

Thank you for listening Apple. I hope this update will run the OS smoother. (I'm just really having some issues with iOS9.0)

The difference is they pretend there is nothing wrong with the new updates, thus less then 60% of all android user are using the "latest" android.

keep in mind despite complaints about ios9...... all in all...... its a smooth roll out.

dexterouz, 24 Sep 2015I love the fact that Android users are so much open. If any Android mobile manufacturer has so... morenope.

Whenever Android phones make the huge upgrade, many problems, first off, not all phones are eligible for the upgrade right away, second after the upgrade, their are problems that don't get resolved.

At least they released a patch in less then a week. My friend updated his android device to lollipop and its screwed up his camera. since then no new updates.
