I'm not an HTC fan, but may I say that the design in question actually is originally attributed to HTC. iPhone never looked like that until they copied HTC. I'm talking about iPhone 6 which was a copy of HTC's design.

I think you should stop writing that A9 own its design to Iphone because HTC did it first with the M7, stop misinforming people

GSMARENA, iphone 6 is indeed htc-esque design. htc one m7 was the first mobile with this clean design for back side with narrow plastic stripes for antennas. you do not fool us

Well for me it looks like a perfect introduction before m10...they lost in m9 war so it is the time to not invest so much and do a little experiment to check the air flow..neither very high nor very low..
amoled 5"screen,ois,little different design from typical HTC,13 MP camera just how much needed,
Well it should only have a good battery and good low price...and it's a pedigree..I try to choose my phones very wisely so at least I will be looking at it then...a Sony and HTC fan...

I don't see much iPhone in it. At least HTC does not have such ugly plastic antenna trims on and around the back.

All the phone companies are always in legal battles about who developed what first; from design to interface.

I hope this is not how the phone will look though! Where are my beloved boom sound speakers!!! : O

HTC should sue Apple. They stole the design and breached their patent. Htc patented this and they apply for it ad early as 2008 and filed it on 2009. Here a summary of the patent in 2009:

In summary, the present invention uses the metal part disposed on the external surface of the appearance to generate the coupling effect with the antenna disposed in the appearance. Hence, under influence of the metal part, the antennas have the better patterns and average gains, thereby increasing their reception. In addition, corporation names or any product trademarks may be printed on the metal part on the surface of the appearance, or different textures and color may be used to beautify the exterior design of the mobile electronic device, thereby increasing attraction to consumers. In other words, the metal part of the present invention enhances reception of the antennas and enhances the exterior design of the mobile electronic device in the established hardware space in the mobile electronic device.
