Moreover, the HTC sense ui isn't really a HUGE integration of HTC ui ontop of android, but rather a skin like tweek. And what I mean by this is that there were no HUGE changes to the android UI like they did with the BEHOLD 2 that caused a promising phone to have detrimental effects. But seeing as it now, I firmly believe touchwiz will ultimately be replaced once samsung's bada os goes into production or rather touchwiz will be sold mainly for phones that are in the cheaper and more practical segment rather than being implemented on premium smart phones
I am hoping soo bad that it has a QWERTY. I would buy this in a heart beat, but with messages and gaming I prefer a QWERTY. Looks like the Milestone is the only way for me to go now.....

Umm whoever said samsung needs to implim... moreI'm hoping the Galaxy 2's really gonna end up looking like this render or better and be kept as it is.Honestly I think that nearly every touchscreen model that Samsung got out of the woodworks AFTER i8910 Omnia HD had completely lost the plot except for maybe that Samsung Moment.Thank God someone decided to keep it simple and kept their hands off the keys' (or lack thereof) design, that was my main beef with the rest of the current Galaxies.Dare I say it that Galaxy 2's right now the only model that moves on after i8910 Omnia HD's aesthetics.Tentative core hardware specs are just sweet on that paper.
Agreed.More importantly Samsung needs to seriously cook up a completely finetuned to Android UI,kill TouchWiz altogether or just leave that to WinMo a 1 size fits all approach has now proven hard to implement (it's obvious here hence their considerably confused TouchWiz strategy at the moment).Perhaps that's where Samsung should fess up that HTC's doing it right with their Sense,a buffet for their food for thoughts.
Another thing is Samsung should get to market cross regions aggressively and be more platform agnostic. They can't do that if they tie their WinMo 7 initiative (somehow my gut tells me they got 1) with a plethora of models thus stretching their resources thin. This is in fact not including whatever they got up their sleeve for the next Symbian iteration to boot.
nexus one is about to get over taken by the galaxy 2. Umm whoever said samsung needs to impliment touchwiz to android 2.1 must not know about the behold 2 and the abomination that came about from the integration of touchwiz and 1.5.... All I'm saying is let google do their part(software) and let samsung do their part(hardware)...
I read somewhere yesterday that so called picture of "Galaxy 2" is nothing more then fotomontage of Google Nexus One phone. We will have to wait and see...
I just hope Samsung will slap some pumped-up version of TouchWiz to the Galaxy 2... They should also work on that name, galaxy???
still no power android unit, x10 included.
i want android that can beat Omnia HD in any way possible
No Omnia HD successor anytime soon?
That's really sad, becuase the Innov8/Omnia HD line was pretty nifty at the time...
Any one else think that area below the screen is a touch sensitive pad???
