I'm still using 920 and after 3 years, it still works brilliantly and is not out-of-date. Besides I've never liked any of the newer Lumia models since Microsoft took over. They all look ugly compared to what Nokia used to do. My 920 has many features that some certain companies are just applying now (e.g. wireless charging, which Samsung is now advertising)
csrrz, 28 Sep 2015Totally agree!!!totally agree. 4 years. 2 lumia phones till now. im going to buy a 830 sometime this weekend. just love the UI and the Design of this phone.
Price should be ok if 950 change the back camera to 1020 camera :), other than that should cut price like G4.
I have use window phone (nokia lumia 1520) for almost 3 years now.. hardware wise.. it a great device.. flagship device and still not outdated yet.. powerful camera.. smooth performance and attract attention from people.. and alot of people have been asking about my phone and say all the nice things about it..
About the OS.. i have use window 8 to 8.1 and now window 10 mobile preview.. it run really smooth.. no lag.. no jammed.. i search the net worried free cause malware, spyware and adware cannot get to it.. yes its true.. there is not a lot to user for customization.. but hey its totally fine with me..
App store.. well there is more than enough apps in the window store for me..
So in the end its up to your own choice.. if you like the pjone then just buy it if you dont like it then move along there is really no need to force your apparent dislike of it onto others..
Whether we use window, android or ios.. for me it really not much different..
I'm looking forward to seeing the final specs on this phone. I'm tired of the Samsung v Apple never ending knuckle draggers. I want a phone that delivers what I need it to. The rumoured specs on this phone looks to be something that will suit my needs. I went from iPhone which I found to be a great phone to a S4 Galaxy which was just the worst decision. I am also considering the HTC one M9, but like the idea of integration between window devices as windows in the main OS in our house aside from the couple of iPads we own. If this new phone does what I needed it to do, then it's onto my new phone. I'll take this over the HTC over the IPhone over the Samsung.

like a portable pc
JF69, 27 Sep 2015Bright future, WP is irrelevant, time to face reality. I love it I don't like android, and I don't care what you think
GrainySnapshot, 27 Sep 2015Connect to a screen via a dock? What? Dozens of phones (including the Nokia N8 and 808) have h... moreConnecting your phone via HDMI only projects your screen, with the dock, your get to project your screen, control the device with keyboard and mouse, etc.
It's not just about projecting your screen, but the ability to use your device as a computer to carry on with your work where you left it.
This makes the device functions more as Personal Data Assistant than any other smart phone available.
Now you can take your office wherever you go.
Perez, 27 Sep 2015What about price? When you buy a flagship device you are actually paying for the cost of the p... moreThanks for commenting Perez. I hear what you are saying, there are cheaper phones. I was basically just asking if any knows how much these phones will cost unlocked?
Einsteinium, 27 Sep 2015You fandroids are so still living in 2012. You no longer have slow cameras and no apps and wha... moreYeah... WP OS and devices working for the requirements and no gimmicks on OS and its apps... Solves purpose and more rigid hardware and software too....
Apple - Too much expensive
Android - Much customised by hardware vendors...
A stand away OS with control over the SW/HW and stability is WP... using from 2012.... Most comfort performing devices... at present using Lumia 640...its the best for the price!!
JF69, 27 Sep 2015Could not have said it any better, until they make good with Google, their mobile OS will be i... moreReason WP has 3% marketshare is not because it's not a good OS, it's because the OEMs cannot put malwares and spywares on the OS like Android so they all push Android to watch your back and collect your data like Google does with Android already. Microsoft is not bending down to OEMs like Google. Microsoft wants familiar UI across their Windows 10 devices, not a mess like Android. They make their own phones if the OEMs don't.
Connect to a screen via a dock? What? Dozens of phones (including the Nokia N8 and 808) have had a built-in HDMI port. The iPhone since at least the iPhone 4S have permitted an HDMI connection via a lightweight adapter. Why does MS need a dock?
JF69, 27 Sep 2015Bright future, WP is irrelevant, time to face reality. actually now it's windows mobile not windows phone!
I'm sure some 'occupational' basher here whose life seems to be just so focused on this thread bashing other platforms are paid by the other company as saboteurs.
Android its just to heavy, to much shit, not to many actually have real use, iOS and iPhone its just to expensive for what it delivering. For me WP its the sweet spot, its the platform for work and its almost all the time working perfect.
Einsteinium, 27 Sep 2015You fandroids are so still living in 2012. You no longer have slow cameras and no apps and wha... moreyup, actually WP (soon to be Windows 10) is a very efficient and reliable mobile OS. I believe it's borne out of the inadequacies of the two leading OS.
It's awesome! Powerful specs and win10 mobile a great combination.
And windows store is going to be huge, a lot of apps are going to be available
I'm really excited for this flagship and windows 10 experience!
