The Desire 820 is okay for the price. It does everything my old HTC One X+ did, sometimes better especially with games. My One X+ crapped out after 2 years and I couldn't see the point of paying £450 for a flagship phone that starts to show signs of issues after a year - before crapping out at the 2 year mark. Got my SIM-free Desire 820 for about £230. It works fine with Lollipop. If you wanted an upgrade to Marshmallow (you're missing nothing there) you should have gone for one of the Nexus phones. I have a Pixel C with Marshmallow (stock) and Marshmallow is nothing special. It still has bugs at the time of writing (6.0.1.).
