Why HTC don't do any software program to firmware easy & don't have more places for maintenance .
HTC frustrate me a lot. As someone who has been a HTC user for the last couple of years, I can confidently say they make absolutely fantastic phones. But their promises seem to annoy me. I mean we were promised new Android updates within 90 days of release, so we all never got Android 5.1. Now we have to wait until by the end of the year for Android M, but there is never a guarantee that we will 100% get this. We may end up waiting until the new year for a next update. Lollipop has been a major disappointment, so I am longing for a change. I really hope HTC deliver this time, but I won't hold my breath.
with the delay of sense 7 on the M8, they should release it as soon as marshmallow launches, as it's not like they were short on time or optimize the applications.

M7 has already had enough updates, after all HTC only covers the next 2 years, and it has done so. :D (Sinceriously an M7 user)

(I'm an HTC fan if you were wondering)

We do not wanna depend on htc update... Its time to root my beloved m7.. There are plenty of third party custom rom makers out there.. CyanogenMod is an great example... They will build good rom for m7 with android M....no doubt.. Go for it..

SK89, 30 Sep 2015In the Android Ecosystem anything but a Nexus device (and to some extent Motorolas) is doomed ... moreLook at iOS in ever iPhone, it looks identical, Android in Nexuses and Motos looks identical as well, but in HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony, they don't, they have skins, so those skins take some time, of course they won't take weeks or days (but months), since they are not magicians. :D
Shahrukh, 30 Sep 2015What about HTC One M7???? :(It be screwed would be my guess.
That's the thing in the Android world, once a device reaches 2 years in age, it's chances of future updates are virtually infinitesimal (most devices chances aren't to great after even only 1 year)
It's a shame if true, there's nothing in the M7's specs to suggest it would have any issue running Marshmallow.
ok htc we will eagerly wait to see if u can deliver in an acceptable time frame and deliver a flawless os iteration. just once humour us and thoroughly check for all possible points of fault before delivery, minimum drama please!
Welp no 2013 devices are shown in the list. I pity the One M7 users.
