cn u plz tell me tht whch version of ovi maps u installed on ur N79. Bcoz here in india ovi maps 3.03 is nt showing as N79 supported version. So we hv to instal older version 3.

idontgetit, 04 Feb 2010sorry for my ignorance but when you say you can download a map on your phone for free, does it... moreAs far i know.u cnt use a-gps during offline mode uses data connection.offline mode shut off radio signal reception/transmission of the phone..u can still open Maps but cnt connect to internet

Tan, 04 Feb 2010I just bought a nokia n 97 and tried to update the software with my windows 7 OS and it cam up... moreDownload Ovi PC suite first in you window 7, and then connect to PC suite mode on your computer. if it can't or doesn't work then go for lower grade window vista sure it will work.

Nokia flagship phone is N97, since the company devoted all resouces to make it as Iphone killer, but unfortunately not. But the flagship of Nokia phone is N97

Just downloaded this free version for my 5800 at nokiamaps.wordpress. com ; version is 3.03 with a slight change in the menus and interface.
No more Shops and licences menu! free navigation rocks!

I thought N900 was their flagship model and they would devote all resources to it..So bought it. It is a kind of discrimination that they would not give free navigation to n900...we are stuck with Ovi Maps 1..If that doesn't change, I am gonna switch from nokia for ever..
