Anonymous, 01 Oct 2015Buy a brain Google. LTE frequencies are different most probably you won't be able to use LTE in EU(depends on operator in your country).
Maxim, 01 Oct 2015Nexus 5x 16 GB is 379 $ without taxes in the US. That is 340 euros without taxes or with taxes... more... and EU has 2 year warranty, US 1 year.
Nexus 5x 16 GB is 379 $ without taxes in the US. That is 340 euros without taxes or with taxes (21% in Belgium) is 411 euro.
480-411 = 69 euros overpriced...
Terrible decision on the price in EU and UK, not a chance we android users paying for these rip-off prices. Now I have less sympathy on Google being sued by EU.
If this really is the new price for Europe, then thanks a lot Google. Go an have yourselves a nice America. There are loads more companies whose pricing does not differ that much fom the colonial continents. In Euro, that is an 120 EUR price difference which is a complete rip off. I was thinking of treating myself with a new Nexus this year, but I'd rather have something like OneTouch Idol 3 (5.5) which costs less than half of N5x. And I do like Google and Nexus line in general (I'm even typing this on a Nexus), it's just that getting ripped off isn't my favourite thing in the world right now.
the new xiomi mi4c has almost the same specs while being a little smaller - costs just ±200€ in china. i would take it over the new nexus anytime
The 5X currently Pre-orders in Canada for $499- For the same price I can get a Brand new Nexus 6, Which one would you take? The 6P is avail for CDN $699- That's very close to Galaxy S6 price range and costs 50- bucks more than LG's G4! Think I have some decisions to make.
tyga, 30 Sep 2015Absolute rip off!!! Google is using Brit buyers to subsidize its US customers. Not only do the... moreHey, in Spain situation is simular.
prices for smartphones are completely crazy.
actually, regarding these 2 ones from Google, i don't care - they don't have microsd card slot, so they cannot be considered for purchase.
Mega rippoff. Even worse that they purposely exclude a memory card slot and charge way more to get a reasonable amount of built in storage.
Seems people have to wait about 3 to 6 months after a new phone comes out for the price to be reasonable these days.
No wonder more people are drawn to new Chinese brands with phones that have top specs and great value without BS pricing for the first 6 months.
Pretty steep £579 price for the Nexus 6P 128GB model that I would be interested in. Rather get a Nexus 6 or Note 4 for £320.
Well... that's in the iPhone 6 Plus (or 6S, or whatever) range. I'm sticking with my 64GB Nexus 6, which I got for like 400 USD.
Freefaller, 30 Sep 2015Sorry. I meant that the Moto X Style jumps from $399 USD to £399 GBP. The exchange rate ... moreDid you add vat and all other costs.
You said that you're being ripped in the UK?....why don't you try getting the Nexus from Malta, then you'll know what being ripped means.
Absolute rip off!!! Google is using Brit buyers to subsidize its US customers. Not only do they not buy it cheaper in the US ($499), they also get an early buy credit. By all account (it works out cheaper for the Aussies), the UK is the ultimate cash cow for Google. I looked forward to owning my first Android phone in the Nexus 6p but I refuse to buy now on principle. I enjoy every Brit to do the same. We must push for fair pricing policy from Google - we cannot be made to pay for the luxury of their US customers.
Sorry. I meant that the Moto X Style jumps from $399 USD to £399 GBP. The exchange rate is approx $1.5 = £1.0 so the Moto X Style should retail around £260, but we Brits get ripped off.
