Anonymous, 04 Oct 2015What about the Moto E 2nd gen? It's less then a year old and still no 6.0? What about the Moto... moreLook at the specs. Who wants to upgrade the device with crappy specs knowingly it will render the device unusable. Even on Lollipop it stuters much.
i bought a moto e in 2014 june so now i am using android lollipop 5.1 i am not satisified with this android update, so wen will i get android 6.0 marshmallow

In comparison my S5 may be at its 8th update (yesterday) since when i purchased it.
Vinod Kumar Saini, 05 Oct 2015It should be for Moto G first Gen also. You want a 2 year old phone getting latest updates? Dream on little fairy

AnonD-448023, 05 Oct 2015motorola had advertised two years of upgrades for moto g 1st gen - where is my two years of up... moreUpdates aren't provided from when you purchase, it's from when the phone is released. The first gen Moto G is right on the borderline, but they really should update it and the Moto G 4G.
motorola had advertised two years of upgrades for moto g 1st gen - where is my two years of upgrades - i bought moto g in june 2014 so i should get upgrades till june 2016 - also moto g 2nd gen was available in sep 2014 so till aug/sep 2014 moto g 1st gen was selling - all moto g 1st gen devices should get updates till aug/sep 2016 - if they are ditching us then maybe we should also ditch google and go for cyanogenmod
AnonD-349777, 05 Oct 2015What about Android 5.1.1 or atleast 5.1 for MOTO G (2 gen - 3 G ) ??? Also it's not mentioned ... moreIt is mentioned.(2014) Moto G and Moto G-4G(2nd Gen), This moto G is the Moto-3G(2nd Gen)
What about Android 5.1.1 or atleast 5.1 for MOTO G (2 gen - 3 G ) ??? Also it's not mentioned for 6.0 too , so sad.,
Well there is a reason why iphones are way more expensive than androids... at least motorola made alot of updates and quick updates to the first gen of G and X... Imagine if you had bought a Samsung Neo Win Duos ? you would be still on gingerbread proably.

Iphone 4s from 2011 has ios9 but my Moto G from 2013 wont get Android 6?
Thank you so much. I will never buy a Moto phone again. Good bye.
Good news. Pretty much pleased to know they put the thought on reducing bloatware! I'm 1 of those guys who prefers only Google play services & playstore as the only pre installed apps(along with the obvious system apps).
Sick of bloatware!! Mainly all the Google apps. Not that they are bad (luv them by the way), just wished I could uninstall them when not needed.
Just upgraded to X play from 1st gen X (still have it though :D ).
Glad to see a bit less bloatware in 5.1.1 than 5.1(Google+, play books, play games, newsstand removed). Play movies didn't get the cut(?). Wouldn't mind if play games had remained instead of movies.
Bad move, Google!
Anyways, at least something is better than nothing! :)
