This applies for Android users.
For developers, it depend on their skills to find the vulnerabilties and make fixes.

And by the way, iOS users have fixed security bugs before, for example, iOS 4.3.3 had a bug in which it was possible to execute malicious code with a PDF. Jailbreakers used this bug to develop a jailbreak and then immidiately released a program to Cydia which would patch the bug. This also made it the first time jailbroken iOS was more secure than non-jailbroken (because Apple hadn't released 4.3.4 yet).

it may give inconvenience to have phone fixed in the store but at the end of the day you'll feel safe that this type of android bugs would enter your phone system
JD, 03 Oct 2015What a blind fa-n-droid comment..... Pat-thetinc really.....Please correct me if i am wrong. Android users can root the device and fix any issues without even going to the store and fixing from someone else. Can iOS be treated this way? Certainly impossible.
JD, 03 Oct 2015What a blind fa-n-droid comment..... Pat-thetinc really.....Why even bother with coments like that?!?!

AnonD-446990, 03 Oct 2015If you have root it should be easy to remove. And replace it with what ?. It's libraries that are vulnerable and need to be patched.
AnonD-362866, 03 Oct 2015Hahahahahahahahahahaha :'DWe users do have all kind of fixes for our android and users itself can fix these issues by themselves as it is open source. Android is far better than your prehacked iCrap iOS that cant be even fixed by users itself. You people are bound to cry near your iCrapple store.
If you have root it should be easy to remove.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha :'D
That's, what happens, when you write an OS in Java.
[deleted post]dont do payment things with android. if you whant to do that, go use apple or microsoft devices. sure.. apple and microsft have security flaw too, but they will fix it much much faster than android.
They make these threats to scare people to buy a new phone! My Galaxy S2 will never get any more security-updates at all, so these new "threats" are suposed to scare me... into buying a new phone!
What I understand from this: new root methods by downloading a song. Lmao
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oh well. That's Android for you.
And I don't care
If this was Windows everyone would have got the patch by day one.
But this is Android, designed with a dysfunctional OS updating model in mind, where any fixes will only reach a minuscule percentage of the user base. Small wonder Samsung etc are seeing less and less profit, because consumers aren't willing to pay big bucks for Android devices anymore yet end up being treated like dirt by the manufacturers and Google.
Android is dead soon
