It's HUGE! (that's what she said:)
hd2 is huge already, who the hell needs a fat-ass version?
i do agree with the above comments its awful to see this design,,,,and its going to get even more bulky
that is one ugly bulge. i dont think its worth paying money to make a good looking phone look like that despite the additional battery life and kickstand (which is not needed since this thing become fat enuf to stand on its own without 1)
This phone should have smaller screen and 1500 mAh battery at least than it would be bestseller, but now it is simply huge expensive phone to work with charger only.. i8910 looks much better.. Go Samsung!
my n95-1,,n96 and e90 all had extended batterys in then with a bulge..Its great for battery obviously but can make the handset more hard to grasp rather than uglt..
Its typical tho isnt it,,you didnt want aerials so they put them inside for you decreasing signal power and decreasing battery life,,you wanted touchscreens cause of stupid apple and now thats all we get,,you wanted more MP so thats been done at expense of decent images at 2-5 MP mark and so on..You cant have thin fones with big megapixels with big battery life and good signal with internal aerial so None of you should be complaining,,i for one can fully say i support 2-5 MP fones with aerial with good battery and NO touchscreen and clamshell,,roll on something decent..
je, 07 Feb 2010verry verry ugly......i like the other one....this is again ugly ugly ugly!!!!Je if u have any financial prob to get he beautyfulll and fantastinc featured phone tell me i will never buy for you. But please dont show your minus on a public server.
It will turn my HTC HD2 slim beauty to FAT and ugly. Agreed the battery power got doubled but i cant carry an ugly phone in my hand, the reson it got 3 days life. i prefer carry the charger instead.
Well I agree with others, although the battery life is super amazing but it makes the phone looks also super ugly hehe.
I really love the style and design of the htc hd2. Therefore, seeing it like this is offending the image of the beauty of the thin device. However, let's not forget that there are other customers that would not mind having this battery. So maybe all in all it's a good step.
And since this is not the original battery no need to worry at all guys hehe.
Cheers!
verry verry ugly......i like the other one....this is again ugly ugly ugly!!!!

I think HTC Should plan for some other version of HD2 with good battery and upgrade of RAM and ROM as it really looks ugly and irritating phone ever release in HTC
Fugly fail.
this battery must be very comfortable for hands
argggghhhhhhhhhh it's ugly
men thats uglier than seeing your mom diying of hunger!!!
This is news? OK, the good points are that HTC have developed smething that will extend battery life, it's a start and it's a new technology, but man, that stand is butt ugly.
January and February are generally very quiet months when it comes to seeing any breathtaking and fresh new devices, but I don't have any hope for 2010 whatsoever. 2009 was the best year for seeing new smartphones such as the N900/HD2/Droid/Hero and the intro of the XPERIA X3 and rumoured Nexus One.
The best we have this year so far are already a flawed WinMo 7 lacking multitask and HTML5 capability, and Nokia's 16gb X6, which is not a new phone. Palm pre Plus? They just made the keyboard better with more multitasking and memory, but everything is the same. My guess is the Iphone will be the same this year except the inclusion of a 5mp camera with flash, 1GHZ processor and HD Recording. Honest to god, manufacturers are getting lazier and lazier, what's happened to innovation. Shouldn't these devices be perfect the first time round rather than releasing a stupid kickstand for the battery life? Joke!
Anonymous, 07 Feb 2010At least HTC are thinking of a practical phone features. The other manufacturers seem to have ... moreApparently you have never tried the Nokia E-Series.
