sony decision ...vz has nothing to do...surely because of the z5 unvealing a z4v will only compete with the new z5 being for rule z4 cheaper but a better options due to 4k content is only avaliable for multimedia on z5 ..most of the time is 1080p and surely they got heating issues and poor batetry life.

However did Verizon, Sony, or both decide? Was the Z4v in vein? Is Sony losing out?
They already discontinued the Z3v which is still waiting for support...Thanks Verizon.
And the Z3v was a very very very very dirty trick of calling a Z2 with Z3 software a Z3.
Hopefully they don't do that again.

sony should now just sell the z4v intrnationally. i mean, this was what the z3+ SHOULD HAVE BEEN, a phone with enough new features to differentiate it from the previous version, not just a processor upgrade.

Sony should know better than to try and partner with Verizon if they actually want to make it in the US market. There was the Xperia Play, which flopped, the Z3v, which was just a Z2, and then, when they had the chance to actually release a current phone, Verizon delays it for 4 months until it decides to pull the plug.

Plus all those Verizon tramp stamps...

I wouldn't be surprised if actually Sony were the ones that made that call. I mean with the publicity the Z5 lineup is getting, the new camera, the fingerprint sensor... Going with the obviously inferior Z4v after the Z5 was launched would almost be an insult to those willing to pay the premium for the best Sony smartphone around. It would have been a huge flop most likely.
Whoever made it, it sure was a good call. Now let's hope carriers will sell the Z5 in the US!

I guess the real reason is sony choose to cancel it.

This phone run at FHD, they still have no idea how to optimise the screen. Launch it means embarassing theirself.

That's good news. Nobody needs another SD810 phone in the market, they already damaged the android market enough ... It's probably the first year (after years and years) than an iPhone is clearly the best device in the market. Shame on you Qualcomm, shame on you Google for losing the comfortable lead in innovation and performance...

Who would be fan of a corporation that abuses an outdated networking standard and an even worse post-launch support window?
