It looks like Microsoft for the first time has entered the mainstream mobile business.Lumia 950 & 950XL will definitely boost and those who wont be buying will be missing a lot.And with the ability to port Android & IOS apps it's definitely a boost.
hi,i didn't see my post, anyway ill do it again.... manage to read all comments on this and i sometimes laugh and overall its a positive response to this device even me i didn't lose hope to Microsoft that one day they will come up something innovative and perhaps the Lumia 950 is my bet its minimalistic design, not a fan of outside aesthetics but more on its capabilities to function with ease, execute applications in a pop and whole lot more.

I'd say it's just your regular copper heat pipe with liquid in, heat turning the liquid into vapour that cools down again to become a liquid, in doing so, transferring the heat to a heat sink (a heat pipe on it's own won't help much).

Heat pipes are not liquid cooling.
Claiming it is is like claiming KFC is a restaurant. It's not.
So would the liquid cooling in the 950 XL be enough to counteract the overheating issues with the Snapdragon 810? I would be interested in seeing test results to see how it would handle under heavy graphics/heavy usage.

Liquid cooling? Are you sure? You should define it as as well

AnonD-383187, 07 Oct 2015They probably overclocked the processor with liquid cooling installed. The Continuum demo was ... moreNot liquid cooling, just normal heat pipes. Heat pipes have a liquid coolant inside it. Similar to the Z5 series which has dual heat pipes. You see conventional liquid cooling we find in PCs cannot be put in phones. For that we need a heatsink fan, which can never be placed in a phone.
Liquid cooling is a damn gimmick and not true. What they mean to say is that this phone has heat pipes inside it, very much like the Xperia Z5 series. This is NOT the type of watercooling we see in normal desktops, as we need fans to use proper water cooling. Like the Z5 series, this has heat pipes and heat pipes have a liquid inside it. So Microsoft should stop misleading people and just tell that this phone has heat pipes.
