Panda, 07 Oct 2015and here i am with my moto G 2nd gen (2014) still with android 4.4.4... what the heck is going on...I don't know why you are telling a lie but My Moto G 2014 , Model number XT1068 Received 5.0.2 in January 2015 and 2 weeks ago I received an update for stagefright fix and now Motorola officially listed Moto G 2014 for Marshmallow Upgrade.

Sony's still updating their flagships along with the other 2013 model Xperia Z. That's the reason why I bought a Sony phone because of their update support.

I have a note 4, going to get a note 5 next week, and it'll be stuck on 5.1.1 for couple of months ... I really sometimes think I'd be better off with a cheap phone that runs stock android and gets fast updates ...

And i'm still stuck on 4.4 -_- even after spending 425$ in 2015 for a higher mid-range phone, even though the same model got the 5.0 update in other regions between june and july, but not yet here in india :)
People will advice me to root and install a custom ROM, i can do it but this will void my warranty.
Samsung sucks in support department.
