I agree. Though you can't stand in the way of progress only hinder it. Don't get me wrong I like flips and slides too but touch screen devices are easy to use but the downside to them doesn't allow for much creativity and all the designs are pretty much the same. I grew up in a decade when mobiles cost a bomb and just made calls. And I've seen a lot of mobile companies come and go. Siemens, Philips, Ericsson, Nokia and this is just a few. And it's hard to compete when companies like Apple sue every time they think someone is copying or infringes their patents. And with everything being so commercial these days it's no wonder businesses are falling short.

Sony aftersales are horrible. Technology they dont have more. See the TV sets LG and Samsung are far away from them in terms of technology They are loosing money, and are falling. They lost their good image due to their arrogancy. No return is possible. Global players do not follow old rules like botton lines and profit. the future is now and the true is consumers first. Service, Service and Service in order to take care of the consumer. they are responsables of the profit and Market share!

Just common Japanese pride. Just because Japan is one of the best in electronics today, it doesn't mean you just have to ride on that wave. You have to compete to be one of the best. Sony is lazy and big headed for selling just-ok phones for an overly expensive price. They could have and should have done more rather than just selling the models at a high price just to say it's premium.

I have the Xperia Z3v. For the most part I really enjoy this phone. The only thing is Verizon butchered the hell out of it. Not providing updates and stop customer support. Sony has to stop letting US carriers pimp their phones and start offering on all 4 carriers along with us marketing. The z series has great features such as ip certification (despite the fact what Sony said I have no trouble submerging my phone in water), ps4 integration, and the best Android design in the market ect. They have the recipe for success, they're just not utilizing their potential to its fullest capabilities.

Sony has good technology in sound, camera, and display and Play Station but failed to apply effectively in mobile phones.
There very wrong in Sony management and strategies.
I feel Hirai-San should step down and let more capable CEO like Jack Ma to take over the leadership role.

sooner or later other top companies will get the treatment if they take consumers for granted ....SONY once had huge global demand.........that followed by arrogance and greed ......taking customers for granted .......sky high cost of device /smartphone under the banner of brand and exclusivity.......
Things to ponder upon.......
drastically reduce the price and make it dirt cheap .....whats the advantage .....your company will recover lost customer base.... 2nd more people will buy your products......simple logic.....people will go for value for money devices.......
and if your company does not like these options ...........dont feel bad Apple and samsung will give you company in the coming years............

Pricing. Why cant they just make some affordable phones with no compromises instead of trying to compete with the big boys with INFERIOR products. Why by a Z3+ when you could get a non compromising, Nexus 6P? Why buy an M5 when you could get a G4, Moto X, OPT, or Nexus 6? Why get an M4 Aqua when you could get an Idol 3? I can't think of a single Sony phone that's worth it at their respective price points and it seem that over the last few years other customers have felt the same otherwise they wouldn't be losing so much money.
