Nobody in their right mind would choose this overpowered iPad to a real laptop or a hybrid like the Surface Book, unless they're a sheep for Apple.

The iPad pro is trying to go beyond being a tablet but it still uses iOS. Which is supposedly not very good. Because it doesn't fulfill the purposes of content creation and is just a consumer device.
Surface pro is cheaper, has better hardware, and better software.
IPad pro is only for wannabe creators who fall into the vague line between creators and consumers. Get a Mac or a normal iPad instead if you want Apple.

It's a Tricore 2 GHz with four (4026 MB if you want to be accurate. may differentiate in a few MB (up to 10) from device to device) GB ram. and the GPU is the monstrous Power VR G6700.

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2015I attempted to get work done on a surface pro 3 but the device is just not meant for designers... moreI don't understand what makes you think an iPad "Pro" would be better.
And it should be compared to the Surface Pro 4, SP3 is 18 months old.
There are reviews from real designers on the internet and SP3 is not all that bad, it definitely gives you more options on the tools and software side than any iOS device.

Apple pencil lags that's why the advert only show people using slow strokes. Have you seen how the composer wrote a symphony in Microsoft's video? It was fast and very responsive. Plus, they won't have to charge it daily. The Apple Pencil was poorly designed, imaging charging it and someone passes by and hit it. I also imagine a lot of people losing that charge-tip cover.

The presenter who I forgot his name said that the iPad pro... morehaving used Wacom graphic tablets in the past, it's usually not that difficult to switch tools on a stylus in most applications. Saying "it doesn't have an eraser" is akin to saying "my mouse doesn't have a brush tool" honestly.

Why would one buy an iPad pro when there is a surface pro 4 or even surface book. 16GB RAM, 1TB storage i7 Intel core processor. No brainer here especially for a software developer like me.
