Opera Mini for the iPhone are mostly positive. People, in particular, like the speed of the program (pages are loaded up to 6 times faster than Safari), which is achieved by ensuring that all traffic Opera Mini is compressed first (90%) on the server itself Opera. As it is shown in this video - http://www.techarena.in/video/34202-opera-mini-5-iphone-preview.htm
Hello friends, The awesome video of the "Opera Mini 5 iPhone Preview", that is worth watching is available at:

I wonder if Maemo will get Opera mobile. The MicroB is one of the best i have used but the page compresion of Opera has no match in mobile or desktop browsers; it loads the page 3 or 4 times faster then any other browser especially on slow 2 and 2.5 GSM networks. Curently COSMOTE Romania has no 3G and the other 3 mobile operator (Orange, VOdafone, DIGI tel) have 3G but they have horibble voice plans.
Symbian Rulez, 12 Feb 2010wow so overprice phone like isheep still need opera mini LoL for me better buy Symbian^1 Smartphone.I'd rather use WebKit based Safari, you know WebKit developed by Apple and used by Nokia in their S60 browser.
Opera Mini is for dumbphones like S40 phones.

people say, you have to get an iPhone for it's perfect browser .. (*lol*)
what is the point to exchange it's main reason for spending 700EUR, against a browser, you can run on every platform ?

maxwell, 11 Feb 2010i have my doubt that the iphone's can work properly with the opera program because as far as i... moreIt's not Opera would have to write or port a version into objective C, Opera Mini would be a waste of time, the iPhone OS has far more power than required for a basic Java version.
i have my doubt that the iphone's can work properly with the opera program because as far as i know according to thier spec's the iphones are not JAVA compatible
well i hope that the iphone can stand up to the power of the opera program .. i'm using opera 5 beta 2 and opera 4.2 on my mobile and its great, i hope the iphone's can do that as well ..

Applications are what makes platforms useful and customisable.
The iPhone has over 140,000 easily accessible Apps by a simple touch on the screen.
How about Google chrome? Iphone with youtube...faster than a desktop Comp.

"320 x 480 pixels stretched to fit 3.5 inches so we can see those beautiful pixels when watching a film"
You're thinking of other smartphones that don't have a dedicated format to display films. Argument over, you are clearly a troll.
Anyway, I'm pleased that Opera is coming. I'm not knocking every other Smartphone, it's just that the iphone does everything from a dedicated platform. There's no 20 models a year using the same OS, and that's where the likes of Symbian fail.
I'm looking forward to Android coming of age though, as it looks like a great OS, that may take some of the thunder from Apple's device. Windows Mobile is also looking tasty. The sad fact is that releasing newer more powerful devices by various companies means that an open source OS varies on each phone in quality and the divided app stores used by both network and operator ruins things.
