Its a very decent phone but a fingerprint ID, a better processor( may be a octa or a 810 with liquid cooling used by microsoft or exynos 7420) wd have surely made it more likable than the other phones currently available even though Style is a little bit more pricey and less Mah in terms of battery.

Motorola you loses whole plot with Style...Play was priced at very reasonably keeping Indian market in mind...from comments it is clear you loses more than half of your immediate prospective buyers...so sad...even i expecting it to be priced at 25k-27k...big disappointment...will revert back to OnePlus 2....

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2015Pls explain how do think it is fair!! pls try to covert 450$ into INR..mam, $450 is equivalent to INR29250 and it's going to sale for INR29999 so its not a huge difference... moreover it is a flagship from motorola, not a mid ranged category, i mean look at samsung's mid ranged device, A8 which is priced at INR32500 and in that price you are getting a more powerful and better product and yeah motorola is not any chinese phone maker that they should sell their flagship for less than 30k or so even xiaomi and huawei are selling their flagships for more than this price so why cant moto??? i guess it's a fair price strategy dont know why everyone is fussed about its price...

It seems Motorola like Oneplus think they are a market leader in India & people will queue up for their phones like apple. Please get over this self realization. 25K is the most one can pay that too for a dual sim, minimum 64 gb inbuilt with 3gb ram. Its quite surprizing to see that samsung is giving away its numero uno position which no one is ready to grab. Oneplus, after a huge success of 1+1 think they are Apple of india. Samsung lost it big time in terms of price, Xiaomi taking too long to launch a flagship like Mi5, Sony is already out of contention & the least we talk about Nokia/microsoft, the better. I was quite keen for moto after trying almost all major brands, but moto is losing a plot here.

                            Moto you need to think...
                            price should be 25K
for 5k you are loosing customers from which you will gain more than 5k

seriously what is wrong with you people? 30k is a fair price for this device... i was expecting 32-33k for 16gb variant and 35-36k for 32gb variant... still priced lower than nexus... the price is absolutely fair but still you people want it yo be less... if they had kept the price even lower you would have asked for even much lower i guess...

How can any of you say what the pricing should be. I am in no way advocating that the price should be any higher/same/lower.

You guys need to understand that how is a price of a product decided. Some of the factors may be as:
                                        1. Import costs, including variation of forex rates.
                                        2. Stocking and poor sales loss of interest on the investment.
                                        3. prices in USD do not necessarily covert to INR, look at Apple.
                                        4. Volume game.
                                        5. Company subsidies.
                                        6. Agreements with online retailers.
                                        7. Company's financial health, look at HTC doing really bad and still looking for higher margins, and look at Apple, making a killer margin on niche products.
                                        8. Company's strategy in India.

You guys cannot just multiply $399 (US price) by 64.7 and get your relative Indian price. You should also understand that US prices are without taxes and would anyways amount to a total of somewhere between $450 and $460. Keeping this in mind, it comes to somewhere close to INR 29700.

Having said that, Moto should understand that India is a different market and try to price it more according to purchasing power of an Indian consumer.

But guys, please be a bit mature, if a company didnt price a product as per your liking, hate them, even i do so, i hate samsung for going from 32000 for an S2 in 2011 to 52000 for an S5 and S6 accounting for forex etc, S6 by 2011's rates should be 46000.

Please don't go off telling the company, i believe a snub to Moto by not showing any interest and not buying a product at a price you don't like is enough to let the highly paid analysts know that you are unhappy.
