I am there with the first smartphone of my life since the debut of Windows 8.But no competing device in the midrange is forcing me to make a switch. Now considering OP2& Honor7.

Ever heard of "The emperor's new clothes"... moreCan IOS do this?
1. Swipe away notifications while playing a game?
2. Write a note while on a call via loud speaker?
3. Sony small apps alternative/equivalent.
AnonD-449609, 09 Oct 2015Exactly! The one dude below is on about iPhone sales and then asking BlackBerry to beat that. ... moreWe android users know that your bb flatform is the more secure than ours, it is just the relatively steep price (for the hardware) that is holding most of us back.
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2015I don't think John Chen is listening to consumers. what BB needs is to populate the BB store w... moreDevelopers will do it only if the user base is enough or support from the OS has a good enough incentive; developing/maintaining app requires resources and time that is why a large user base helps.
AnonD-449643, 09 Oct 2015BB10 is not android. The way they can run Andorid with BB10 is with Dalvik,The Priv doesn't run bb10. they decided to go with a customized android

Ayush, 09 Oct 2015From an OS to a mere android skin!!! Android and iOS are just too heavy now.Windows is fightin... moreI am typing this on a Mk1 Nexus 5 running Marshmallow. Even with Lolipop it is ultra responsive, with almost no slowdown or freezes than my former and otherwise excellent Note 4. Android is getting lighter and faster because Google (unlike Apple) are optimising it for lower powered devices. Agreed that Windows Mobile is also snappy but IMHO the UX is a pain.
AnonD-449532, 09 Oct 2015You are one of thousands hating on iOS versus millions of users who find iOS better than other... moreNo he's not. FYI there's 7.3 billion people on the planet. And there's more mobile phones than people. Most of them don't care about the iPhone. Seriously those iPeople pay a lot for a little, and then say "It must be even worse elsewhere, the others must be jealous..." like a religious cult. Newsflash - they aren't jealous, they are annoyed and/or amused.
Yes adopting to Android is the key to success as it adapt to today's & future technology but tricky as how not to let BB OS runs dead. But the dumb CEO went to make a statement they will consider to stop hardware and focus on software if the hardware division don't profit in a year. Who the hell dares to invest and buy one as the after-sales might stands a great chance of being cut off. The confidence level is already low, with this it's all the way to the drain. Barely see the future of BB now. The focus on enterprise software security should still be their key for survivor.
They should definitely make a non keyboard version as well.

AnonD-449532, 09 Oct 2015You are one of thousands hating on iOS versus millions of users who find iOS better than other... moreDiehard BlackBerry users don't care about phone sales and virus riddled game apps on android or useless apps in the iTunes store. BlackBerry users are professional people that only care about functionality efficiency and security. So, with that said, I will remind everybody that BlackBerry has the most secure OS by mile over iPhone and left android stalled in the paddock. I will reiterate your thoughts. It's sad that BlackBerry is making this move with Priv. And the rest of them can keep on drinking the kool-aid! Hahaha
I wish this should come in the Asian market before December 25th 2015
