rj23, 16 Oct 2015Woh! Almost 700 USD for a smartphone with a SD615 CPU, seriously HTC??? And what is that very ... morethey are saying $399 for USA
huh, 15 Oct 2015Better specs?
Priced at $686, with 2GB of RAM and that processor, the 6s is a MUCH better deal.yes, I think the HTC A9 has better specs than the IPhone 6s. I have been looking at the 6 and when I learn that the HTC was going to be of similar feel in the hand I thought hold a moment. Lets wait till the 20th but so far it has better specs than the 6s
Bigger screen - not that I want a big screen but this minor lift is ok
Same feel
Amoled
Less cost - 6s is $1200 - $1400,00+ in Australia
Higher pixel density
Image stabilization
Not only that but it looks like there will be 3 variants possibly with even more ram so its worth the wait and see and this chip set purrs along beautifully from a lot of reports.
I find most of the comments on here ridiculous. Let HTC confirm prices, not some leak. Then decide if it is worth it. I think it looks great personally.
No redeeming features there on screen keys again, middling specs, massive bezels ... Not even stereo speakers. All for a massive price. I'm ashamed to own a HTC right now. They are digging their own grave deeper each day!
where's the boomsound speakers?
HTC have gone insane!!
I think m8 harman/kardon was their last great product.
Woh! Almost 700 USD for a smartphone with a SD615 CPU, seriously HTC??? And what is that very Apple like design? Surely, the Taiwanese company is facing its downfall already. I wouldn't be surprised that in 5 years, HTC will no longer be around or will be bought out by some other big players. At least LG and Sony are still more stable and are both doing the right thing on their smartphones. Samsung is still a big player but is starting to think insanely by means of going to the route Apple is taking.
Medium specs for high end price, smooth move HTC:D Just go bankrupt gracefully.
Has HTC gone mad? A price tag like this for a mid-ranged phone? What the hell?
Bad looking ... Not attractive !!
This is gonna be my last comment about this device. So, in my opinion, HTC needs to lay off its marketing guys (which were useless even in the past anyway) and turn on its brain and creativity. 599 euro is the price dictated by blind marketing. It's clear to everyone around that such approach is not going to work. HTC needs to understand that there is no easy or shortcut way to get out or crisis. They need to learn from Motorola. These guys managed to make a great product ( Moto G) and put an attractive price tag. They need to accept that there is no quick way to return to profitability and high price tag on mid range device is not going to help. It's very simple: you put a high price tag and make no profit plus eventually quit business or put attractive price tag and make some profit, make your customers happy and increase your popularity and improve feedbacks. Like I said before - it's a long way and there is no shortcuts. Motorola did everything right (or almost everything), however only after 2 years they started to get some confidence and make money.
Also companies must be managed by people who are passionate about what they are doing. Not passionate bosses will get their bonuses, close the company and move to another one just to get it buried soon...
iphone designed by htc
600 euros for these specs?! And if the design is even remotely like M8/M9-style, no thanks.
I thought the change in leadership was going to get the company going again but this just smacks of defeat. You just want to take the company and shake it until it starts listening - instead they make the same old mistakes. It's almost like they're determined to bury their own company. Agonising.
A9 ( codename Hara-kiri ) was confirmed by Orange France leak. Price tag 599 Euro....
Could have been interesting device for 350 Euro max.
if it looks like the IPhone 6 with Android, Image stabilization, bigger battery than i6 we will probably get 2 of them. Lets not jump to conclusions on price just yet. An iPhone 6s is well over a gob smacking $1200.00 in Australia and the HTC A9 which looks like it has slightly better specs that its I6 clone will be no where near the price. As an outsider, not swung one way or another as both are good, I have to say if you are going to complain about pricing then as much as I like i6 there is no way it justifies the price. I think ill support HTC here as this is a good mid range quality device no doubt and I am sure the real pictures next week will show it to be slim and sexy .. hope so.
HTC, I can see that the design elements on this phone are in line with the premium One M series. But when you put these elements in this manner, the originality seems lost. Where are the boomsound speakers? One of the main reasons I love my M8 so much is due the amazing Boomsound speakers. Why don't you get ride of the space holding the HTC logo on the front by just moving the logo above the screen like it always was during the desire S, One X (pre One M7 times) days.
Where has all your innovation gone ? When there is nothing new in a new phone, its launch and existence is useless.
What is everybody complaining about...??? HTC hasn't announced anything yet... RUMOURS only so far! Wait till the 20th and try to stay positive!!
rup, 15 Oct 2015It hurts a lot HTC, u 're king of smartphones, every co.even apple took inspiration from u nd... moreDon't forget the Aero isn't a flagship... That means they are comapring their mid-range with ICrap's top of the line! Can't wait to see HTC's next flagship!
@ GB ram is far below for the price.
So sad HTC.. You made very good phones.. I think its the END for HTC..
