"he was talking about physical keyboard like laptop/desktop keyboards"

But did you even read what you replied to?

"That is after how many hours of traing swype?
Can it write "Mera naam Abhinav Jaiswal hai" ? without a glitch? I can, with my physical keyboard...."

Or did you assume he was referring to Swype used on a touch-screen "laptop/desktop" ?

AnonD-411799, 19 Oct 2015Then why are you commenting on this tread "BB Priv" Mr Einstein?.Because 'Einstein', The Priv happens to have a Hardware Qwerty Keyboard, much like most Blackberry phones. Doesn't really take a brain surgeon to work that one out, does it ?.

Can it write "Mera naam Abhinav Jaiswal hai" ? ... moreyes you can write if you add those words in the dictionary(mera+ for example) thats for the first time, after that you can just write without a "glitch". or are you are saying that bb recognizes you and inserts "mera naam.." whatever automatically. lol may be its your IQ & physics.

I was really looking forward to this.
But why with a "curved edge display" do they need 77.2mm to hold the 67.2mm of a 5.4" display??
It is not that it is military graded 'drop proof' or even IP68...
For comparison the huge Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 5.7" curved edge display (11% larger area), and still is 2% less wide!!

The huge 77.2mm is way too large to be one hand operated for me.

....I might still end up buying it, to get out of the horrible Ios experience of my current Ip6- in a QWERTY landscape slider case though.

Curved screen will be used by more companies yet no one will complain and say that they copy samsung.
Snapdragon 808 in November? Actually means Snapdragon 808 for 2016. They lingered way too long to launch this phone.
Won't be satisfied with this phone 3 months after purchase.

Yes please sign me up. Don't like a physical keyboard, hey guess what you don't have to use it. Just use the one on the screen. Everyone is so hell bent on the physical keyboard, have you read the specs on this? This is the best blackberry ever now that it has android. I will gladly give up my much restrictive iphone 6 to get this one. And one more thing, not everyone gives a crap about swipe, if you use a computer and use the keyboard do you complain about a laptop not having swipe. You'll be just fine.

mir, 17 Oct 2015Swipe txting comes to mind...Why do you think I am still on Android? One of the main reason is Swype, I mean the actual Swype keyboard, which started it all ( leasing their dialogue :p ). When I my keyboard speed was less than 40 WPM I thought Swype is the king, but now when it has crossed 60 WPM at an average, every time I need to send an email or text from my cell, I just get angry, and miss a hardware keyboard like heck!

I prefer no hard keyboard but the phone does look nice and premium. It will be a huge device when the keyboard is out. But nice to see things getting back up there.
