So they just spend billions to develop new process node factories and just let them sit in idle? Intel is one of the few who designs AND manufacturers their own CPUs.

iPhone with hyper threading would BE NICE. Hyper threading doubles cpu power as it basically is virtual cores. So a dual-core becomes a quad-core.
