point 1: it's 72,000 rupees in India (iphone 6s 64GB) .that is equivalent to $ 1010.
now tell me if apple will sell iphone 6s 64 Gb for $1010 in USA how many people would buy this phone.
point 2: most of the middle class family in the India having average salary of 30,000(it's even less then 30,000).now ,if you want to buy an iphone you have to save entire salary of two and a half month.then you would be able to buy an iphone.
now suppose if in USA your salary is $2000(most of people having more than $2000). and apple sell their iphone for $5000. who is going to buy this phone.?

Well its a different ball game in India
though its one of the biggest markets, we have consumers looking more towards midrange smart phones unlike USA
so a phone like iPhone with such a high price will always unaffordable.
This is the reason where in manufacturers like Lenovo, Asus, Micormax, Mi come into picture :)

I agree that Indians look out for practicality but don''t say Samsung gets it right. Nope.
I would rather place my bets on Sony. Samsung makes android look like 'Ghajini'. Sony is more like 'James Bond'.

Apple need to sell a lot of units in order to pay the 820 million dollars lawsuit filed against them for stealing! That's supports the news that apple will probably use Intel chips in the future because they were caught for the second time that they use the A9 chip without patent from the inventor.. shame on you Apple! such a thief! haha LOL

ha ha ha ... APPLE can't fool INDIAN's as they do in US ;china etc. Because INDIAN's believes in practical performance that samsung provides . It will never be possible for APPLE to compete with SAMSUNG in INDIA.That's why SAMSUNG has 45% market share in INDIA for smartphones price above $500 . SAMSUNG give real and practical performance and when you use you can feel the power.
AS now i am having S6 EDGE+ and whenever i see or use this masterpiece this always put a smile on my face. Its a work of art. if you are a practical person and doesn't value art, don't buy it. I have the silver one and im loving it :) and whenever any Apple boy see it his AS* is on fire...

i am really happy that iphones sales are sluggish... it would deliver a message loud and clear to tim cook's deaf ears to not consider India as an afterthought... i mean how can iphones price be kept at a whooping $1000 plus in india... i mean,,i can get yamaha R15 V2.0 IN that amount !! :D

Pricing is ridiculous for apple products and now even fans like me have ten thoughts before spending that kind of money. I can buy a MBP for this price! High time apple rethinks the pricing strategy and selling partners.

Yes, Not surprising! I have bought Note 5 Duos for Rs 43,000 (32 GB Ofcourse), Nexus 6P available for Rs 43,000 (64 GB), many other Galaxy models available less than Rs 50,000 - 53,000 range. Not sure if any one with sane mind keep increasing the price every year by Rs 10, 000-12, 000 and still expect mass buyers! For God sake even in US and other places this is almost same price point (except for plus category phones by $100).
