If you guys are crticizing..u should do it constructively...you dnt knw nuttin and u keep sayn wat u like....Nokia Brought abut many of the UI that we are see now that wz stolen by other fone manufactures..Example see how Apple used Bokia's patent without paying...Nokia initaites others steal and tryna make it different...No matter wat you do..nd no matter the number nd type of competitors..Nokia will still be the BEST...U should know before you say....
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2010...and i bet you have never used an android or iphone before. Have you ever used NAEMO and by the way RAD used by Apple was stolen from Nokia
Moni, 18 Feb 2010Yes, also agree with you that, Android is not for power but Android for Advance user! That... morelol how is android for advanced users? The Droid is like the easiest thing to use. N900 is advanced and I use it alot more than my Droid.
Long live Symbian! And ones who jumped into Android bandwagon and probably NEVER had newer Symbian handset but 'knowledge' they read from forums from another nonexperiencers can dream on about Android conquering the world or whatsoever.

( to those who said i have never used an android phone)I owned an android phone. The damn cliq. Cool at first but kept crashing even after the firmware update gave it to my girl she loves it, go figure. Android is not for power users. Atleast thats what i got from it. Got me an n900 and i am a happy camper. I can multi task without having worries about my phone crashing. And my old n95 was a work horse. I used it for both work and personal use and it never missed a beat. i don't get it when people say that they crash. It was a rare occasion when it needed a reboot. i guess i got the only good one.
Somehow ... Nokia's lack of any phone showing has gone uncriticised by this site.
I bet if this was M we would not hear the end of it.
[deleted post]lol I have an N900 and a Droid and I can tell you that android is nowhere close to Maemo or even MeeGo when it comes out. Sorry go cry about it.
shame on you Nokia! No new phones! Only PowerPoint of "new OS", no prototype, no real gadgets.... Even Microsoft managed to produce a demo-phone! this year I will buy another phone...
I think the future of mobile phones is the way of the PC and Laptops. We buy the Hardware and Install OR Choose the software platform ourself. Darwin's survival of the fittest will come in action, and we wont be stuck to use proprietary solutions.
yaaaaay! nokia to the world... eat ur heart out other OSes n UIs Nokia is on the prowl ... the name of the game is 'Nokia back in business' ...
Where are the new phones though ... Nokia stop starving me need to see them!!!
I'm not sure why Nokia insists on introducing new OS's to an already saturated market. While I agree with many of Android's critics in that it still needs lots of fine tuning, the fact of the matter is that it will own all the other OS's by the of this year or early next year. After using Maemo, I can guarantee that we will never see another Maemo device released. While it might have been a good OS, there will never be the same number of developers for it as iphone OS, or Android. So while it might have been great, Its pretty much a dead OS. Symbian^3 will also die, although much more slowly and likely take Nokia down with it. By mid 2011, Nokia will have lost its world wide dominance to either HTC or Samsung.
thetruth, 16 Feb 2010For all those of you who say that symbian is tryin to catch up to android. I can bet that you ... moreHonestly, what could your N95 do that the newer OS phones couldn't?
Freeze 'n Crash?
Noman, 16 Feb 2010I wanted Symbian 3 on my Nokia 5800! The best part of MeeGo and Symbian 3 is the 'QT toolki... moreSeriously dude, i wouldn't even think about Apple OS4, they are probably gonna add a shiny new version of a calculator and call it the new iPhone 3GS 2 or something. The last upgrade was a compass. I have no doubt that the Mactards and iApples will be running to the stores to get their annual brainwashing upgraded.
I wanted Symbian 3 on my Nokia 5800!
The best part of MeeGo and Symbian 3 is the 'QT toolkit', which means developers only write one code which will work on MeeGo and Symbian 3! WOW!
Only problem is that MeeGo and Symbian 3, and WP7 will come out towards the end of the year. Which means Apple will release iPhone OS 4 and I'm sure Google will update Android with some new features. Let the games begin...:D
