AnonD-442781, 20 Oct 2015In terms of design Samsung is leaps and bounds beyond Apple, as Apple has stagnated since 2011... moreWell, I thought Apple has lost their charm after the death of Steve Jobs, but I dont think so. It seems that Jobs alr set what is next for us until today, touchID in 2013, 3Dtouch in 2015 really has brought the light of the day to other OEMs, which you can see from this kind of article. Btw, these features that we see today could have been something that is alr in development before 2011 :D.

I think a very good indicator if a feature is really useful is the frequency of use, which is heavily influenced by how well it works and how much it helps you to give that convinience.

Samsung, please give us proper storage space before gimmicky items.
Long press and swipe can do anything that hard press can.

In Australia Samsung is only releasing the 32GB GN5 ..... EPIC FAIL!!!

AnonD-362866, 20 Oct 2015That's just the start, get a 6s and use it, you will see that you will no longer be blind and ... moreIt seems, I won't need to wait til iP7 to come out. Samsung seems to have thought of much more in terms of functions. Apple is, unfortunately, playing catch-up with shiny new tech.

Yeah, the iP7 will implement the functions listed on the patent on this article and Apple will say it's innovation no one else thought of.

BTW, I don't need to buy an iPhone to find out that 3D Touch has no new functions. I went to store to check it out, and it was as I thought, old function with new tech.

Anonymouses, 20 Oct 2015It is not copying. It just implementation of new technology. Just like the USB Type C. Oneplus... moreso why finger print sensor was not implemented on samsung before apple implemented it(since it was old technology)?
same goes for samsung pay & force touch? why.?so you mean implementation is also a means of copying. fyi apples new mac (apr 2015) announced the first usb type c in their devices. lol op2 was announced on july 2015. and op2 is not exactly a type c(it doesn't support quick charge), its just reversible. here source.

I am just interested are people buying into this nonsense feature. This feature is much stupid and useless. Instead apple and samsung should invest in features that are for general interest and useful for people. Only nokia and sony make features that are really useful for people. Too bad these companies like apple and samsung are selling air to mindless people while using marketing tricks.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2015apple makes a smartphone Samsung follows and ditches flip phones and start to making phones si... moreapple makes a smartphone Samsung follows and ditches flip phones and start to making phones similar to the Iphone 1. ( yet apple just added phone feature to a palm pilot)

Apple releases finger print lock --------------------------------> then samsung follows apple by making something similar in finger print swipe. this project was a failure, it rarely work, but as long as their was finger print unlock in samsungs devices it was good enough for them.
(Motorola is the first company to offer this facility in its flagship Smartphone. In 2011, among Android phones, Atrix became the standard-bearer by getting this feature.)

Apple releases apple pay ---------------------------------> samsung releases samsung pay AFTER apple pay.

(more innovation not actual invention) how far back do you want to go with mobile payment systems setup. i guess the first would be 1997 by coca cola , when they set up there vending machines to recieve text messages for the purchase of there products. several banks had a mobile banking feature allowing for purchases through your mobile phone. only thing apple did was made it mainstream)

apple introduces "3d" touch, 1st uses force touch, knowing it will be copied, apple surprises everyone by renaming it 3d touch at the launch----------------------------> samsung about to release samsung pay.
( no they renamed it 3d touch because force touch was already patented by Huawei ) which came out first to boot, and didn't we already discuss payment systems?

i could go on and on. taking obscure technology copying it and calling it the next great innovation does not make you yourself its creator.

So it's starting to not taste nice. What make us thinking that SAMSUNG has lost it's creativity. But,it shows it's power because there aren't many company able to give immediate response to any thing the other competitor bring as innovation
What i can say is ...up Sony... because you're original.

I just got 64 GB iphone 6s - initially I had some problem with 3D touch and did not do it correctly - now I must say it's really good. I have not seen in android so far. Long press is different from and 3D touch. Then eventually I found almost every app from Apple has that feature and really useful. I love iPhone because it has features that's useful- not rubbish like Samsung do(apart from s-pen). Hope android will make 3d touch like apple and will implement more and more phone. Because they way apple is charging for iPhone in India - I guess in couple of years I wont upgrade it. (I bought iPhone 6s 64 GB for 72k).
