Predictably, Samesung is stealing another Apple idea. So far, we've had Touch ID, Samesung Apple Pay, Samesung Wallet, and now 3D Touch. Sammy are less like "Next is Now", and more like "Next is whatever our engineering department in Cupertino designs." Smh.

apple makes a smartphone Samsung follows and ditches flip phones and start to making phones similar to the Iphone 1.
Apple releases finger print lock --------------------------------> then samsung follows apple by making something similar in finger print swipe. this project was a failure, it rarely work, but as long as their was finger print unlock in samsungs devices it was good enough for them.
Apple releases apple pay ---------------------------------> samsung releases samsung pay AFTER apple pay
apple introduces "3d" touch, 1st uses force touch, knowing it will be copied, apple surprises everyone by renaming it 3d touch at the launch----------------------------> samsung about to release samsung pay.

No one'... moreThat's just the start, get a 6s and use it, you will see that you will no longer be blind and ignorant ;) another thing to bare in mind is that the 6s is an introduction to the 3D touch tech, the 7 will implement it in more ways than it currently does (which is more than peak and pop as you think) the 7s it will be perfect. The 8 up it will be mandatory. Have a look at the 5s, which was an intro to fingerprint scanning, the 6 which took it one step further and then the 6s which incorporates Touch ID 2nd gen making it blazing fast and near perfect. Your ignorance shines dear sir, brighter than any sun in the observable universe.

Apple had to invent a new technology for a simple software... moreThat is ur home problem if in android touch and hold reveals more options, us iphone users dont hv that much of time to touch and hold just only to get additional shortcuts, and besides in iOS world touch and hold on an app icon brings u to arranging app icons and uninstall them, next time if u know nothing how to use ios just pls keep it to urself..

I do not see great value in force touch gimmicks. There is no great difference in the next screen or just popping out a window temporarily....in either case, the workflow shall get back to the same original starting point. This interface could make the simple touch interface too complicated at later point.

3d touch useful or not depends on how many factor such as: is the hardware good, is the software can utilize the hardware, can developer implement it quickly & perfectly, is user wants to learn to use it in their everyday mobile computing task..
As for samsung, we all know they mostly following apple steps for example: samsung pay, no sd card slot, non-removable battery, fingerprint, rose gold color, changing tab aspect ratio to 4:3 (same as ipad) and now they will implement 3d touch, etc..

HAHA!, 20 Oct 2015fanboi denial spotted, so what who copied who , its a TREND , zzzExcept that it's fact. All OEM's will forever copy each other. They all want to be the best so that their product will be bought. They will always try to one up each other. This thing about copying is getting old.
Nobody can say that a certain OEM didn't copy. They can only make excuses, but it was still copying. It's called advancing in technology. Samsung copied Apple and Apply copies Samsung.
Everything is about money. I'm not complaining. Just saying. Any company will do anything to make money. Whether it's copy or or invent "useless" features. They want to win the market. Money is the same reason OEM's buy hardware from other OEM's; it works out cheaper to use.

That and marketing "better" features to consumers. Some consumers like the hype of being able to do something epic with their cellphone. Some people like advances in technology, for the sake of technology, and not the practicality. That's who the flagships are for.
Buy yourself a stable midrange phone, that doesn't have new features.

Just short press and long press will do. No need physical tech pad required. That kind of option popups are already there in android launchers so long ago.
