Why ? Just why do we need 3D touch? Apple had to invent a new technology for a simple software utility? On android we just held our finger on the screen to get options ! You don't physical hardware for what essentially is "Right click" We'll soon pay more for something we don't need or want

But be... moreNews flash: 3D touch makes your life simpler and easier, using the OS becomes much more fluid and intuitive... So you're wrong. I am however referring to iOS.... Of course Samsung might not be able to implement it as effectively, so you might be right in a way ;)

Technology from note 3, galaxy S5 till note edge is perfect and enough for daily usage. But beyond this like implementing iris scanner,finger scanner, 3D touch is just too much. Simple devices like note 3 note edge is fine enough for us to handle our life. Not making it way complicated like this till you get irritated to manage your device.

So this is almost like saying "hey samsung alr has 3d patent back in april 2014!", but why havent they dare enough to use the technology on the mainstream product? How come apple did it first and it works so well too. The answer is simple: Apple already has the idea long before april 2014, but only now they finally find a way to make work on mainstream product. In other words, this Samsung patent could have been copied from Apple's secret document and they quickly file the patent first before Apple, then wait until Apple successfully make it into mainstream product, then they will start doing their research of how Apple did it before finally they use the technology on their product one generation behind Apple :D.

Fact!
All OEM's will always "it will always be like this" use each other's idea to create something "not identical" "it may look like the same" but different in the sense that it will provide you a different user experience. This will never end. This is what you call competition. When one OEM impliments a new feature "but not - upgrade it seems" the other one will always follow and that depends on how they will optimize the feature.
When you say "Copying", there are two thing you will need to look for. When your saying copying a feature as what it is, that is what you call Copycat; but it is differrent from copying the idea and then adding/removing something from it, recreating the whole thing with the same idea but with a different user interface and user experience.
If something is Patented then no one can copy that unless the other OEM will pay for it and will use the feature and that is not copying as well. What you call Copycat is copying a feature/program/innovation/idea created by someone else, renaming it, everything is the same except the name.

Ok! Now gsmarena is spreading rumor that samsung has the idea of 3d touch since april 2014 to compete with apple watch making the samsung 1st again in 3d touch. lol so if apple watch with 3d touch was released last april 2015 then apple must have the idea of 3d touch since april 2013. Im simply saying that before you release a product u must have the idea, build a prototype, and release it so maybe apple has the idea of 3d touch since 2010. wow! great spreading of rumor gsmarena! why is that every news that is reported today is not based on facts and everything is just rumor or mumors. lol
