AnonD-411799, 20 Oct 2015so now the question is why does everybody follow apple? samsung specially. same was with finge... moreIt is not copying. It just implementation of new technology. Just like the USB Type C. Oneplus used it first. So, you going to say Nexus copied those. It is just a new set of standard for charging. Evolution of technology. Same goes for fingerprint sensor. Now force touch too because Synaptic is the one invented force touch, not Apple. Apple and Samsung are just implementing new technology into their device. All they did is patent the usage of force touch, not invent them. Just like Apple made the Apple Pencil. Samsung made Spen long time ago, so you saying Apple copied Spen? Stylus has existed since always. Samsung don't invent stylus. Stylus is the general technology itself that cannot be patent. It just implementation. No innovation.

Well, GSMArena, please... how long does it take for Apple to develop 3d touch from the conception of the idea until it materialize? 1 year? 2 years? Im sure its more than 1 year. I mean, why didnt this patent made public before? clearly that's because samsung didnt want to lose to Apple, thus they only made this public now. But hey, they already made public of the curved screen patent and concept quite a while ago (at least 2-3 years) before they really develop it into mainstream product. I'm sure the same will go for Apple, it just that they do it discreetly.

stop calling that s*** 3d touch.
the real name is long press/tap and has been in android for ages the problem is that not all apps support it.

AnonD-411799, 20 Oct 2015so now the question is why does everybody follow apple? samsung specially. same was with finge... moreSame reason Apple copies Samsung and android:

            bigger phone
            Phablets
            S-pen despite saying it sucks
            Physical buttons layout
Higher resolution despite prior claims anything above 300ppi was useless
Several os features and functionality (including previews and quick options for apps, in other words the only usage Apple managed to give 3d touch. Now if you look at Samsung's version they're going beyond what Apple copied)
            And many more

regs, 20 Oct 2015the real question is why apple has copied 3d touch from huawei?Lol. 3D touch is derived from Force Touch in the Apple Watch and Macbook. Huawei just basically copied it and made a half baked version for their phone. Just shows how ignorant Fandroids are.

AnonD-442781, 19 Oct 2015He is right in saying the current features havebeenused since long time ago and don't actually... moreso now the question is why does everybody follow apple? samsung specially. same was with finger print nobody cared(long ago there were few devices that came with finger print sensor). but apple introduces it others follow. & of-course samsung pay...samsung should change their slogan "samsung:- innovating from apple". microsoft introduces iris-scanner for their devices, if its a hit then samsung will also introduce it.

In terms of functionality and features it is similar. 3d touch and the ability to preview things already existed in the galaxy note, quick options also already exist for some widgets. Samsung had introduced several handy stuff like the s-pen, which Apple shamelessly copied and couldn't do it properly, and also things like quick settings for the notification bar which became an android standard.

Face it, Apple's innovation days ended in 2011, most of what they do is copied from somewhere else. What they do well is marketing, and the fact you think they're original shows its working.

So they went and used this "new tech"(it's not new) for a feature that already existed in other platforms. This is not innovative. At all.
