AnonD-5197, 19 Oct 2015Look at these comments... Apple introduced their 3D touch imitating the hover-screen function ... moresamsung and apple both set the trend for the cell phone markets so patented or not who create the first cell phone...is the re a patent on that....there r more cell phone companies and manufactures now than when the first cell phonew was invented......

is samsung wants to copy instead of being innovative thats on them...... we do not have to buy thier mechandise we could buy apple for originality or we could so chose to purchase samsung...maybe they have improved this technology.........who knows..this is just the direction these major manufactures r taking....

Apple filed a patent for 3D Touch implementation in January 2014 -- four months before Samesung. Are Touch ID and Apple Pay not enough ideas for Samesung to pilfer?

JD, 19 Oct 2015"hover-screen function and glorified long-press functions" what a childish fa-n-boy comment...... moreHe is right in saying the current features havebeenused since long time ago and don't actually need 3dtouch. They just weren't mainstream is all.

This "Immitation Game" happens every year. Samsung feel if they use the similar features as used by Apple, they will succeed! They never will

Look at these comments... Apple introduced their 3D touch imitating the hover-screen function and glorified long-press functions. What's patented here is much more creative than peek-and-pop (which already existed) and pop-up-menu (which already existed wtf how long ago).

Sometimes quality is what people look for, not quantity. Samsung keeps introducing powerful hard wares but don't optimise them. Their flagship devices no matter what starts to hang within a year of purchase. Well you can introduce force touch but can't introduce a forceful feeling to buy your device.
