As for "iPhone clone", does it really matter if the phone might look like an iPhone? The iPhone is a great looking phone, inspired by the great HTC One M7 and M8.

What's up with these comments? Wait for the phone to be officially announced, with the official prices, before making overreaction comments. Because if the phone does have difference specs to what has only been rumoured so far, or has a lower price to match the mid range rumoured specs, some comments will just end up looking like a knee jerk reaction.

So wait for the phone to be officially announced, before saying the brand is dead.

            Dear HTC

this is an open later to you from your fans.
You will loose the race if you look how others are running. Where is the HTC that used to have all the charms ? High Tech Computer is what you are
Lift your head high because you are unique on your own.
Find ways to manufacture a beast at a cheaper price, a beast that will chase away all other brands from the market.
This is what makes a beast brand:
-Looks (bigger display screen but light)
            -Quality
            -A better processor
-A better camera (not by pixels but perfomance)
            - stay with the boom sound
            -3300 mAH battery
            Last but not least...
Combine both Windows and Android on one phone... make it POSSIBLE!

This will make the fast decline of HTC. They fail to learn from their mistakes and I cannot see them coming back anymore.

Why CEO Cher Wang said this?
Because of the looks or because they will prove great after sale service, timely updates even after 3 years and Camera is at par with the competition? Or just a marketing strategy?

It is useless for Htc one A9, this device will never be alternative for iphone 6/6s, becouse it is based on android platform, not ios, android is full of bugs and errors, and that platform sucs! Htc making a big mistake with this device!

                        "Good alternative" in what way?
Does it run iOS too? No, it runs Android.
People who want iOS would just buy iPhone.
People who want Android would compare it to other OEMs' flagships and get the better bang for their bucks.
                        Smh...

Waiting for what the One M10 would bring onto the table, if there would be one.

This is what htc made to save the company. Hmm some peoples never learn from mistakes. In fact they are the architect of their on destruction. Good luck htc.

                            HTC WAS great, WAS..
Now it's just bloatware on a super-saturated market full of junk devices called mids.
If you want a real flagship go for SONY!
The others are just iPhone wannabes running android..

5" FHD display and mid-range chipset priced at $700... LMFAO.

It's like HTC wants to fail.
