This One A9 is so overpriced, I better choose Asus' Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL that has almost the same spec. This device should be price around 300 EUR to 500 EUR.

They've been dumb for years man.They seem to have this need to mention or even ridicule other brands in their marketing campaigns. Years back they prepared buses to pickup bloggers/reporters right outside a Nokia event to ferry them over to their own event nearby. They once came out with something about the history of mobile pphone cameras, glorifying their "contribution" to the evolution of phone cameras, at a point in time when they were coming up with potato cams and completely ignoring the likes of the various grounbreaking Nokia cameras,the Samsungs,etc. Then they came up with this "it's not about the megapixels" or some similar shit, with a not so subtle insult to the 42mp Nokias, just to justify their shitty 4mp cam with "ultra pixel technology". I could name numerous other stupidities but its just a waste of energy. Instead of making fun of others they should probably just concentrate on their own problems and actually come out with good devices. Right this moment, the Chinese makers have far far better cameras than htc at far far cheaper prices. The iPhone really should be the least of their worries. Dumbasses

I think there's a cultural aspect to this problem. Purely by making these statements, the CEO is conditioning their staff to not speak out against the A9, because since it should make people 'proud', any opposition to the CEO would be a big no-no.
It's exploiting the local culture a bit, as it is obvious that this is a blatant knock-off from Apple and of course it's not ethical to do so.
No one will buy it and I hope the CEO gets fired.

HTC only problem is they think they on the top of line phone, but they not ,yeah not anymore
asus, xiaomi , oppo, opo , samsung , lg , even motorola they know how to play game
you can't beat iPhone no matter of how much effort you put on your phone
that why those newbies or even Samsung who has so much success still play mid-range game phone since they can't beat apple, they try to absorb more customers to ensure survival, but HTC just went on the way of NOKIA use to , No Offence but HTC mid-range is very expensive well depend on where you live but they just expensive and High-End is just too expensive with same design for years.
5.2 inch phone QHD with brand protection screen , last SDG processor and GPU, android stock ui with some tweaks better then heavy skin android , decent camera with OIS, laser autofucus, at least 3,000mAh juices, you could sell it even with same prize iPhone still have costumers buy it. i wish that happen i was your fan too i don't want you disappear like NOKIA

If it was priced as a mid ranger, people would have cared lot more..
I'm fed up of this thing HTC.. It feels someone is deliberately trying to sink HTC.. The decisions taken by HTC executives/marketing etc is plain stupidity.. Are they really that dumb?? Fire some people from HTC. Hire few from Google/Samsung/Apple/Motorola.. Only then this ship will not sink. Take my advice.
