Although it looks a bit like iphone, but it is much more beautiful in design. Specially the back. I have an HTC M9 at the moment and I can't wait to get my hands on the A9. And come on, Samsung isn't worth spending. It's a total waist of money. The worst thing about Samsung is, it can never stop imitating. htc always has new ideas and it has always been a leadership in design. This A9 has a beautiful design and colours and the price is reasonable due to the spec. As always, Well done htc. Android phones without htc, means nothing. Best luck.

This was supposed to be the hero device that would save HTC, at least until the arrival of the HTC One M10. Instead, it is a mediocre smartphone which forces HTC to really deliver with the HTC One M10, since otherwise I don't think they will be able to survice another disastrous year so that they will have another chance with the HTC One M11.

A wishful thinking with this to save their struggling state. The branding and marketing naming needs further improvement. The design wise, come up with something new like when they did the first One series. Current iPhone back view seem like an inspiration taken from HTC then, don't lose the identity to Apple.

Most phones dont have the quality sound delivered by HTC boomsound. Excellent display accompanied by excellent sound is the way to go.

Ugly and DOA!
OEMs trying to slim their bezels and increase the screen/body ratios, and HTC stretched the bezels and came up with a phone that looks like iPhone 3G. They need to get it together before its too late. More and more loyal HTC fans (I used to be one... Mate, Diamond, Diamond2, HD2, Inspire.. ) are jumping ship.

And to be honest as some readers mentioned below, this phone made me understand and value beauty and originality of M9 more than ever. Let alone almost 50% bigger battery capacity and excellent Boom Sound stereo speakers.

Just want to say that whoever says that this metal design and the lines on the back are apple design I strongly advise them to go look at HTC One M7 and whoever chooses their phone based on what other people will think should really rethink his life choices.
Nice phone , but expensive and HTC is now famous with lack of software updates , you ain't apple guys , you don't have the crazy fanboys.

Previously HTC could justify huge bezels on top and bottom with excellent Boom Sound speakers. Now speakers are gone. So how HTC is going to justify these bezels now?

i am so disappointed...so so so disappointed. Honestly HTC we needed a new design from you, a fresh design, a design we haven't seen before. and then u make this. i know HTC started the plastic strip design but this phone has bigger problems than that. that bezel to begin with. WHY????????? just so it could be like an iPhone, or...? u took away the front facing speakers and then u put one speaker at the bottom, something that everyone else has done!!!! For crying out loud what's unique, fresh and different about this phone???
