Spec, Battery, Size and Pricing should have done better. Design still nice.

looks weird and tall with hardware home key plus onscreen navi buttons. there were 2 better design options 1) shoving off htc logo and putting it on top. on screen navi. finger print on the back and reducing the length by 5-7mm by cutting finger print on front part of bottom out
            2) removing htc logo part to decrease the length by 5-7mm. no onscreen navi. putting capacitative buttons on side of finger print like sammy.

I think we can say R.I.P HTC another boring android device without any stand out feature, how they think they can sell this?

Remember people, this isn't being sold as a flagship phone, the M9 replacement will do that. They current retail price is only $399! (their M9 currently retails at around $490 unlocked)
The boomsound referred to is via supplied in-earphones which is reasonable considering the price.
This is a lot of phone for the money.
I have a M9 and M9+ which are both superior, processor and camera wise but both cost significantly more at launch (M9 was $850 and M9+ was $650)

Wow. That front looks horrible. And now every common consumer will also think of the phone as a cheap iphone clone. Well done, HTC, well done.

meanwhile, Apple actually admitted that the 2D line is ugly.

they are going to remove it for future iPhone.

Oh dear. Love HTC (never owned one due to love of stylus based Note series), but played with them and the stereo speakers and Android implementation are great. So why they have failed to innovate here and simply copy Apple (in a dull way) is crazy for a company in trouble. One can assume this is a mid range phone, not in the same space as the M8/M8?
