Forget 15 days, it has crossed 15 weeks & still many A9 units are yet to receive their Nougat updates. Now tell me, how can I trust someone who breaks their promises.....

After they give one OTA to A9, HTC then will say, " Your device is not met hardware requirement for future update".
      Ring a bell?

They have been doing this trick in the past.

I know my experience with HTC, I can't ever buy their phones with my money to use. its better to use a phone n expect no updates so that when u get the update unexpectedly u will appreciate it.

I hate to say anyone is a liar here BUT...

History indicates HTC is not telling the truth. They once promised Android updates within 90 days of software releases and weren't able to deliver. It's going to be much more difficult to deliver on 15 days. I feel like they're grasping at straws and making promises they know they can't deliver on in the desperate hope they can sell enough A9's that it won't matter if they make half those people upset over slow software updates.

And of course let's not forget how the HTC One Mini was promised lollipop and never got it. Their credibility just isn't very credible.

Looks like Andriod One as htc one A9 by collaborating with Google. Like other Android One phones this will also receive timely updates.

Still, who cares? With those specs and that price strategy, you are going nowhere HTC but into your own grave.

easy to make promises, difficult to live upto them.
within 15 days update will be only possible when they have debundled sense UI completely from android core, so they can release sense components update through play store(they have started debundling already though, but only a few apps have been released so far), and just update the android core when new release comes up.

For $679 they can update it within 15 minutes but it's doesn't matter at all...

yeah that ain't happening, when HTC can't even keep up with the updates for the M8 and M9, and even write off the one mini 2 after 6 months.
