c'mon BB , u cant use android, for android nexus is the best. we use BB for its uniqueness, please release TK-VICTORY (concept) this one is bomb shel. designer made a perfect bb design .

I´d be all in for this device if it was sporting BBOS.
Since its android, there are better options out there.
I´ll stick with my Passport until a TRUE Blackberry comes around.

Personally I love the BB Hardware. It has always been robust. And my priority was always for the security their OS provided. I understand that they are trying to catch up and doing what is possible but I am a little skeptical about the security level of this device. I have never used an android (still using a BB 9900) so not sure as to its security level of this device. So in my opinion if BB can deliver a device that is as secure as their original devices professionals who have had to move out to the droid echo system will return

but if this was aimed at putting BB back on market that price honestly its bad.. anwy hope price drops to affordable.

The reason the price is so high in Canada is because the dollar is low. In the US it's gonna be priced 599.99, just like the Passport. If the Canadian Dollar raises, then the price of the phone will go down, as well as all other phones.

People that are complaining about the price would not buy it in the first place. Besides, there are a lot of other mid-range cheaper Android phones out there.
Blackberry realised that its brand name will only resonate with the fans and maybe businesses, who are more than willing to pay the premium, thus the pricing. It is actually a smart move. If Blackberry priced this at a point where it gets lower margin, the competition from other Android OEMs are really fierce, and that doesn't mean more people will buy it. So might as well price it where it can get good margins, and target those that are fans.

Rogers in Canada is selling it for $800 unlocked.
I have a feeling that the Price will come down a bit. Maybe that's why they pulled the listing on their website.
On the other hand - The Blackberry Priv has top end specs in every measurable category and should command a premium price, especially since you get Blackberry's security on an Android device.

But of course a large portion of the software developers are too incompetent (or just too lazy?) to make a UI that works in both portrait and landscape. (This goes for both Apps and OS - both Android and Ios - do not know on the others)
This one seems to carry a really heavy price tag, so it might be wise to wait to after the Holiday season... Would not be at all surprised if it went something like $200 down in January.
