What about the antenna stripe on the sides of iphone 4. HTC just copied that and extended it around the back.

Don't condemn a product because its pricey. Iphone is distinguish in the phone market. Their progress in the mobile market is not a result of mimicking anyone but believing in their quality.

Yes, apple copied back side from HTC one m7 and curved design copied from Samsung galaxy note 2. There is no confusion at all but Samsung made it of plastic and apple later made it with metal.

Antenna stripes are also not necessary. Look at pretty much any other metal phone in the market, iPhone was the only one to copy it so shamelessly.
