Apple and HTC both copied this phone:

Nobody cares about that... nobody should care about this. All OEM's copy.

The Galaxy S2 was the first Samsung Android device that really caught on, but by that point Android was firmly established thanks in no small part to HTC's efforts.

I am sorry these facts don't sit so well with your apparent obsession with Samsung as a brand, and I am not trying to belittle Samsung's part in the success of Android.

But that doesn't change the fact that in the early days it was HTC who were the main driver for the Android platform, Samsung took over as number one once the S2 hit.

Actually, the only thing HTC copied from Apple is the side design if you don't count the soft corners. Back design is their own. Front design is from their HTC Windows 8X with HTC logo at the bottom instead of top, so it is their own design too. Which makes Apple is the one who made a design from copying other phones from HTC. Do you wonder why Apple made an agreement with HTC with their designs? To copy HTC phones. Having a big marketshare should not make them to own the design they stole. People can buy that, but as a phone website you should make a better job at this. Even you think HTC stole iPhone6 design.

But no we will not be seeing any Symbian phones again regardless of Samsung's future success or lack of in the Android market.
